Hi guys,
I took delivery today of a Casio WK3000 Keyboard and I want to attach it to the PC as a Midi Device.
I have the correct cables (promise) and have it all attached but I can't get any of my music software to recognize it.
Also, I downloaded the Data Management Software program from Casio and when I try to connect it to the keyboard, I get a "MIDI TIMEOUT" error.
Any ideas where I may be going wrong. I'm sure it must be a setting on the PC somewhere but I swear I've tried every setting available.

project,
Midi timeout error means your pc/program is not receiving any midi signal. Remember, always connect midi in to midi out and set your program to receive midi from the proper port.

I gave up in the end and went out to get a new SoundBlaster card. It would seem there was an issue with the MIDI on the built in card.
I installed it, hooked everything up and it all works perfectly now.
