The new KissBox RTP-MIDI v5.5 firmware now allows CoreMIDI connection to the iPad and iPhone via WiFi.
KissBox announced the availability of a new firmware for their RTP-MIDI interfaces, which are based on the new v3 CPU). The v5.5 firmware now supports the RTP-MIDI session instancing function on the iPad and iPhone (the RTP-MIDI protocol is supported since iOS v4.2, no specific software is required).
It is now possible to connect the iPad/iPhone with the KissBox MIDI interface via WiFi (you don’t have to use the iDevice dock connector with extension boxes). The MIDI interface appears as a standard MIDI interface for CoreMIDI apps.
