Sync: no

UTILIZATION
Is simple: it is the first product 100% plug and play I know. I've never had any problem with and every time I had a MIDI bp, because there was always a problem came from elsewhere (cubase, reaktor, etc. ...)
Midiman is pro: very good technical advice (reply within 24 hours in general by mail, it's great), drivers updated regularly. Under Win98, it's really 100% reliable
My config: PIII 800 ASUS CUSL2 on CM on! 815, 256 RAM, 30GB 7200 rpm ATA100 year
I never saturated the interface, and I mainly use this interface with my pots and Nordlead Q, which send a max of MIDI data on channels. (Not to mention the sequencer Q!)
Only problem: I've never had this problem, but it seems that it is hard to chain multiple Midisport 2 * 2. But hey, if you have 15 synths, I see no interest to buy a 2 * 2!
Small detail: the LED, which indicates whether the card is connected and is recognized by the computer: super convenient.
OVERALL OPINION
I use for 10 months. It was a very simple midi interface, and it's so good like that. I dream of a world where every computer will be as simple as this magic box

MIDI interfaces, is typically the thing that pisses purchase: It does not add new sounds insane to its fleet of synths, one is obliged to buy, it's expensive, like good audio cables, which . But as good cables, once you have, you can not revert to the old cable horrible to 2 francs 10 meters!
The only drawback: it would make the card patch too. Like that, no problems with configs that you want to run without the computer
