This bass is made in Korea
The body and the handle (driver) are in maple and wenge
The key is rosewood with 24 frets
It has 2 humbuckers with Bartolini MK1 active EQ 3-band EQ
Chrome hardware and Bridge FB

Such features are worthy of a high-end, or at least an excellent mid-range.

UTILIZATION

Already what I liked from the first grip is the shape and color of the beast, beautifully varnished wood finish with a marble. Very aesthetic!

As for the neck-through, ultra comfortable, not too wide (unless Yam TRB1005 example, much less than the 5-string LTD). Access to acute is easy and everything is obvious. In addition, the handle attached to the body can sustain a larger and deeper sound. (Compared to the NB5 with the same electronic)
No risk of either accidental detuning, but be careful when changing strings, all the precautions to take ;-)

In weight, no worries for those who have to slam JazzBass with 5 strings. It must be at the max 7kg. And besides it not sting the nose. Perfect.
The violin is worthy of the great American brands, and I admire the quality and precision of mechanical Hipshot. The bridge exudes confidence.

The rope is IF it right, not too soft and sounds right.

SOUNDS

To find the right sound, no worries since we have 5 knobs (including 3 for bass EQ Mid Treble).
Well at first I had a little trouble to get out to find the Sound. But with practice it was packed.
Splitter for the Mid slap (excellent sound brilliant by the way).
Splitter the Treble and Bass to push the sound dub to make you blow up the rib cage, no prob. If a serious blow and bang!
This bass does it all! Versatility you say versatility?!
THE active passive switch is not bad in the idea, but in practice personal, I find it a little gadget, especially since the fact of a splitter is énooorme "scrouitch" in the amp ...
I use it myself for everything, be it reggae, metal, fusion, funk, she holds the note perfectly, and is not confined to one style. Must be said that Barto provide good!
I play on a Hartke 3500 head + HCV115 and I do not need to touch the EQ of the amp, as I get everything with that of the bass!

OVERALL OPINION

It's been one month that I used and I am amazed every day hanging from his neck!
I have nothing negative to say about the A5, as qualities! Pity She stamped Cort, it would be a disaster if not! I'm sure!
I tested a Yam and a Rockbass TRB1005, I think the Cort breathe better, it has a warm, almost personal. All for an affordable price (800 €)

For those seeking a quality / performance / price ratio as well as extreme versatility combined with excellent comfort, Ruez you on!

The other, try to see and you'll be amazed!
