Fender Marcus Miller Bass
Published on 06/17/03 at 15:00I purchased my bass in Lake Charles, La. I was looking for a bass with active pickups. The dealer offered me a slightly used Marcus Miller signature Bass and a hard case for $600.00. That sound like a good deal so I took it. The 75 vintage look helped alot too.
I love the block inlay and maple fret board. The body is white with black pick guard, and the "Badass" bridge is awesome. I like the fact that Marcus Miller sounds good playing it. Now! what about the rig?
It should come with its own case. Are they all made in Japan?

I couldn't have purchased a better bass for the money I spent on this one.

Not to be confused with the model 4-string, made in Japan, which has only ... 4 strings, and 1,500 euros less on the bill.
2 Jazz Bass pickups, one volume per micro, a switch active / passive, a serious boost, an acute (active mode).
I mounted mine with a passive tone, and a knob "double floor" for severe acute boosts. Did ... thank you Dr.
Body Ash (Ash) Handle mapple a piece of string spacing slightly larger than a Musicman Stingray 5.
4 + 1 Mécanniques in very specific, a place of perfect agreement.

Body Ash (Ash) Handle mapple a piece of string spacing slightly larger than a Musicman Stingray 5.
4 + 1 Mécanniques in very specific, a place of perfect agreement.
Ability to mount the strings through the body or ("through-body") or conventionally ("top bridge"). Sensitive nuances in the string tension and feel of the game What customize its low, therefore, beyond the traditional settings.
Personally, after several attempts, I decided to put the strings Si and Mi through the body, the other three (La Ré Sol) in a conventional manner.
UTILIZATION
The handle provides incredible playability for the left hand, the best I have encountered! And God knows that I have bored, sellers of low to Pigalle (hello Jean Phi, Vincent, Nick, Anthony and others.!).
This bass is incredibly fun to play, the feelings go beyond what I have experienced so far.
It has a small side "old" while being modern is bluffing.
Everything seems easy. It is easier to play than many slap 4 strings, let alone the five ...
"Gets it easy on her?" I would say that he who does not get very quickly a great sound with this bass should try rather macramé or bowling ...
Weight, that of a good 5 string ... We can not have everything ...
SOUNDS
I used this bass reggae (AAAAARGH! The sound of death, velvety, purring, accurate, placing beautifully in the mix ...), in heavy rock with a pick, and now blues: the slap!
In slap, we are surprised to be taken to Marcus so the sound is good, close to the Master! (The talent is unfortunately not sold with the instrument ...)
The worst part is that I use this bass in passive mode: the sound is perfect, I do not need to inflate it.
Connected to a 500 W + 4x10 Ashdown, it disconnects serious!
Just playing with the volumes, we pass by a "precision" to his "pastoral", the two volumes fully sounding full, accurate, clear, serious!
OVERALL OPINION
I no longer use this bass since I bought it in Las Vegas in the spring of 2006, US dollards 1900, about 1500 euros.
It is on sale in Paris around 2600 euros ... No comment!
The price that I paid the price / quality ratio is great.
At 2600 euros, I do not know, I did not ...
This gave the low wall two StingRay (a 4 and a 5-string) and a Jazz Bass 4, I played bass for years ...
It is remarkably up whatever the style is what really surprised me: I was not expecting much versatility.
Its ease of playing is remarkable, we can not let go, and out of the case is a renewed pleasure every time ...See less20 - blackrose1402Published on 03/30/07 at 11:37 (This content has been automatically translated from French)Made in the USA and for more information, visit Fender

The handle is a smooth I find the same sensations as my Marcus Miller 4 string, the handle being varnished it becomes very fast but the handle is trs enjoyable!
CHAC in acute Well, it's so convenient fender. ergonomics is very good body of the bass hugs my body so it's the top
sound, well that is his choice of vintage or modern marcus miller (play with this bass on songs like nevr too much of Luther Vandross or jump to it by Aretha Franklin is bluffing!

I use it with my head Markbass Little Mark II Markbass 104 hp and an HF over a whole set of pedals ebs and frankly the sound is a bomb.
OVERALL OPINION
I just have it before my main bass was a Japanese marcus miller 4 with a Sadowsky preamp, so that level again, I'm not too depays! that's why I have chosen to have a cohrence in my sound and my comfort level of play again I got used to slapper with the plate on the grave so mico it's perfect for me!
I like the most? the look and polish that makes the color even hotter than on my 4 strings, the sound is falling on the floor, so serious that is very effective and I do not hate anything about this bass!
bin value for price as I have done a very good exchange against the material that I had ben before I can not really tell youSee less10
