My StingRay 5 is, as all these MODELS, manufacturing amricaine. Handle stocky, 22 frets rosewood key, 1 humbucker with 3 position switch (single, SERIES, parallle).
The active electronic features bass and treble mdiums, plus a well Sr. CONTRL volume.
The MODEL I possde, purchased new in December 2002, is colored honey burst.
I paid 2400 EUR against a new price of just over 2700.

UTILIZATION

The handle is a vritable rgal and Access in acute is no problem. The bass is very well balance, so that its weight, which is not really in the CATEGORY "LGERS weight" is finally done everything bearable.
The sonic possibilities are immense, and the bass has a natural tendency to ring emblem.

SOUNDS

I play a lot of DIFFERENT styles: rock, blues, funk, Varita, jazz, etc.., And StingRay 5 adapts without flinching. I use one of scne Ampeg B-100R Rocket Bass, and in the studio a Line 6 Bass Pod. The definition of sound is exceptional, and even IF the grave is a clear thunder.
Trs trs of modern vintage, the StingRay 5 adapts to the sound you want, and it is undoubtedly one of the most versatile bass that m'aient t to give see.

OVERALL OPINION

After 5 months of use, I am totally in love. I have had many basses before this one, including Fender, Rickenbacker, Status, Jacobacci, etc..
While this is not the low door of every budget, but the quality is really l.
If c'tait again, I would do the same choice without a shadow of a hsitation.
