Berlin microphone manufacturer Neumann is expanding its digital line-up specifically for applications in the electronic news gathering (ENG)/broadcasting area.
New developments to be exhibited include the digital shotgun microphone KMR 81 D and a capsule head with a figure-eight directional characteristic (KK 120) in the Neumann digital miniature microphone series.
Use of these innovations in combination is designed to permit digital MS stereo recordings to be made with an integrated digital workflow. The program is complemented with new accessories for adapting to a several uses, from field recordings to installed sound applications.
Wolfgang Fraissinet, President of Marketing/Sales at Neumann Berlin, declared that the company is “also working on a portable version of the digital microphone interface DMI-2, which is expected next year.”
