«  No luck with AKAI »

Well after having troubles with the first generation of MPD24 (see my review on the subject), I contented myself with a small NANOPAD Korg. I for 2 years and has never failed.
Party to purchase the additional NANOKONTROL, talking with the salesman he shows me the LPD8. And I would tell myself I'll take it too, it looks cool as hell. I like that 12 + 8 + pads in the pocket of knobs and more. All that to use GEIST successor Guru FXpansion or to program beats in addictive drums (although I prefer my schedule on electronic drums, I did not always handy).

I take out the toy from the box. I'm updating the software (which I had not seen the installed mini-CD that I would not try to put in the drive "eats-disk" in my macbook ... they are people who have tried it?). I plug the thing and then the mystery remains on a pad all the time.
After verification, not change of scene, it gets stuck on the pad in question. J4essaie to see what happens in midi ... and is random. Often it is nothing at all.

Anyway ... Back Service. As if I had it to do.

All that to say that for the killjoys who treats the nano series ... Korg toy for a kid, I would say the clothes do not make the monk. In Akai, it looks solid on the outside, but it's hard at anything inside. And do not talk about quality control.

Anyway my and my NANOPAD NANOKONTROL do not leave me. They even came with me on stage to drive Mainstage.

I await the return of the AKAI to update this review. I figure that given the number of people happy, it's me who must have a bad fluid with this brand. At least this time it does not happen to me a few months after the end of the warranty.
