SkyTracks features a music “sequencer” as well as an audio player. You register online for free, initiate projects by importing audio, video and PDF files and invite other users to collaborate. The files are stored on a personal Cloud, and each track feature volume, pan, mute and solo controls so that each collaborator can create their own stereo mix. SoftCollab is collaborating with Landr so that you can master the final songs online. Note that a Sync Mixer as Master/Slave option allows you to control your collaborators’ mixes.
SkyTracks works with any DAW and supports WAV, AIFF, MP3, MP4, MOV and PDF files. If you use Logic Pro X or Cubase, you can bounce all files at once before importing them to SkyTracks, with other DAWs, each track must be bounced separately.
Last, you can embed the audio player to your website, your visitors will have the ability to mix the songs, but these adjustments won’t be saved.
You can register to SkyTracks for free and work on two projects. A demo project is automatically installed when registering but you can delete it to get the two projects. If you need more space, a Pro membership is available for $3.95/month, this will also give you access to two upcoming plug-ins that will allows for SkyTracks integration with your DAW.
