B.C. Rich NJ Warlock Neck-Thru

The BC Rich NJ Warlock Neck-Thru is a guitar geared towards those who are in a metal band and need to make a fashion statement. The guitar has a mahogany body with a neck-thru mahogany neck, ebony fretboard, 24 jumbo frets, a unique 12th fret inlay, binding, a floyd rose, two humbuckers, two volumes, one tone and a three way switch.

UTILIZATION

The guitar itself felt great. First off, the fretwork was top notch on this guitar. It's somewhere on par with the Ibanez Prestige fretwork that most people tend to love. The neck itself felt nice in the hand, but the biggest issue I had was the shape of the actual guitar. Sitting down with it felt a bit odd, and I couldn't help break the image that I was simply "trying too hard" when playing the thing. Maybe I'm not black metal enough, but whenever I see this, I can't help but think of those who just flog.

SOUNDS

The guitar sounded absolutely massive. The EMG 81 in the bridge with the mahogany body and mahogany neck gave it this huge, tight, ripping tone that just filled the room. I can see why a lot of the more extreme metal guys like this. Aside from the looks, it also delivers some great tone. The EMG 85 in the neck gave some sick lead tones that were full and fat. You can do blazing arpeggiated sweeps without any issues. The ebony also added a nice upper presence style bite that helped make sure you'd cut through the mix.

OVERALL OPINION

If you can get past the ridiculous shape, the guitar is actually a really good guitar. The neck-thru construction means that there's very little issues getting up to the higher frets, the mahogany neck and body gave it a very full sound, and the EMGs that were installed give it a super tight sound that's perfect for metal. While I tend to prefer other guitars in the BC Rich lineup, this is definitely a solid guitar.

So it's a taiwannaise, 24 frets, 2 humbuckers a BDSM run a bridge, Floyd Rose licensed bridge (Tremolo w / Ribbed Arm), a gnrale Tone - Volume 1 by micro + micro switch, neck-through Saddle in touch with rosewood, head widow.

UTILIZATION

The handle is extrment enjoyable, the ACCS Acute very easy, you have to like the shape but it is well balance while standing with a strap. It is a bit heavy but unless a les paul! The sound is powerful right now!

SOUNDS

I play death metal and this is the ultimate guitar that kind of music! I play with a Crate Blue Voodoo 120w head and a Marshall 1960 cabinet and also a noise gate. The sound is super fat but not deaf trs, trs a good offense, its a balanced and powerful desire.

OVERALL OPINION

I have been using qq months (I play the guitar for longer!). What I like most is the shape and sound, a small BMOL to finish could be better for that price l. Exprience with this choice I would do, being careful finishing.

- With the exprience, you do again this choice for me, this guitar is perfect for playing all styles of metal, even the solos are very good with new pickups, I think I Refer this choice.
