    Lower quality BC Rich

B.C. Rich Warbeast BloodboundPublished on 06/07/11 at 01:49
The BC RIch Warbeast Bound Blood model is a guitar meant for those who are kinda just starting out and need something to make a fashion statement with. It features a basswood body with a bolt-on maple neck and ebony fretboard, 24 jumbo frets, red inlays, a hard tail bridge, two humbuckers, one volume, one tone and a three way switch.

    UTILIZATION

The fretwork on this model isn't that great at all. In fact, it's kinda haggard at some points. For one, the edges were somewhat sharp, and they could have been filed down some more. They also weren't polished, and bending felt very rough. A good once over would have done this guitar some good. The neck joint was kinda iffy in terms o…

    UTILIZATION

The fretwork on this model isn't that great at all. In fact, it's kinda haggard at some points. For one, the edges were somewhat sharp, and they could have been filed down some more. They also weren't polished, and bending felt very rough. A good once over would have done this guitar some good. The neck joint was kinda iffy in terms of tightness, but I could be spoiled due to higher end guitars out there. I'd say it's roughly on par with the average Fender. Sitting down with this isn't exactly my thing, and neither are the looks, but that's something that's purely a taste stand point.

    SOUNDS

The guitar sounded pretty bland. These are some cheap pickups that BC Rich put in these, so they don't sound the best. The bridge sounded pretty undefined under high gain, and the clean was lackluster. The neck pickup was a bassy mess, and it sounded dull when I had it under clean. A pickup swap might have helped this out, but the guitar didn't resonate too much overall. One thing that really griped me was that this is made out of cheap basswood. It's cheap basswood guitars like this that give good quality basswood a bad name.

    OVERALL OPINION

If you're looking to buy this because it looks cool, I guess it's a good waste of money. There are better BC Rich guitars out there, and if you can afford to buy a higher model, I recommend doing so. To save on money, try searching the forums for a nice, used BC Rich. If that doesn't work out, try searching eBay as they have some pretty good deals in there.

    Overall Disappointed ...

Made in China Tune-o-matic with strings through-handle, C, 24 frets, two humbuckers BC Rich BDSM, one volume, one tone, a switch 3 positions.

    UTILIZATION

The handle is very comfortable to play and access to treble is fairly good (except when we slide too fast and have to take the horn in his hand ...)

Ergonomics by the cons side, we have the black point of the guitar. Design (although pretty!) Is such that the guitar pitches down in the standing position (the strap slips due to the weight of the head), and its points are within the abdomen and thighs in a seated position ... Basically, very difficult to find a comfortable playing position ...

    SOUNDS

We should not kid ourselves, it's a metal guitar, and you can not do anything with, even if the microphones have a very nice clean sound! Just the look-lend credibility to any person not playing metal with this guitar.

The sound is pretty saturated fat, good volume output, lacks a little sustain and above personality, the sound is flat, we can not seem to do much with ... However, these microphones are still fairly well defined even in B and others DROP! To my mind their big bright spot (and that's why I bought this guitar originally)

    OVERALL OPINION

I have this guitar since August 2010, bought because I liked the long form, without trying it (big mistake!)

Her look is clearly his strong point, she is very pretty and the finish is very correct!

Its ergonomics is against his big weakness, as I explained above ...

The value for money is bad, you pay 80% the look. In my opinion it is unwise to buy a BC Rich € below 600, below the quality is sacrificed for form.

With experience, I would never again buy BC Rich, I would stay in ESP / LTD, Jackson or Schecter!
