This is the fourth in a series of uniquely new stringed instruments from Eastwood Guitars which include the Airline FOLKSTAR Resonator, the Airline UKULELE and the Airline MANDOLA.
According to Eastwood, “current players like Neko Case and Ani DiFranco have helped to bring back the popularity and distinctive sound of the 23” scale four stringed tenor guitars.” The Warren Ellis Signature Electric Tenor Guitar features a solid alder body and a bolt-on maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, a custom single coil blade pickup with volume and tone controls. The initial limited release is available only in Vintage Cream with Tortoiseshell pickguard with chrome hardware. The Tenor is tuned in fifths (CGDA low-to-high) similar to a tenor banjo but can also be tuned in Chicago tuning (DBGE) or in open tuning for slide.
The Eastwood Warren Ellis Signature Electric Tenor will start shipping in early October, visit www.eastwoodguitars.com.
