Epiphone has released the Wilshire Phantomatic, designed in collaboration with Frank Iero, guitarist for multi-platinum band My Chemical Romance.
The guitar has a solid mahogany body and 24.75" mahogany neck with a '60s SlimTaper profile, a rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl block inlays, a 12" radius, and a 1–11/16" nut.
The Phant-o-matic employs two classic Epiphone humbucker pickups, an Alnico Classic Plus humbucker in the bridge and an Alnico Classic humbucker in the neck position. Epiphone also included a mono VariTone six-way rotary switch, similar to the one used by B. B. King, as well as a horn-mounted KillSwitch and a Master Volume control.
The guitar has a LockTone Tune-oMatic StopBar bridge and nickel Wilkinson vintage-style tuners with tinted green keys, as well as a '60s era Epiphone logo.
Pricing:
MSRP $832.
