«  Stunning value for money! »

Made in Indonesia, with an easel-type tunomatic, 22 frets very accessible on a rosewood fingerboard resting on a mahogany neck. The body is mahogany three piece shaped "curved top" with "double cutaway" with a fine tiger maple top / Flamée. A three-position switch traditional two volumes devoted to each of the two microphones and a general setting the tone. Two humbucker pickups Hamer original brand of mine upgraded by two Seymour Duncan SH55 "Seth Lover".
The switch is not the best position but remains accessible, ditto for the knobs.
The finish is estrèmement well done, I have noticed a small detail in a Binding almost imperceptible. Varnishes and sunburst are very beautiful and not at all colants in contact with skin.

UTILIZATION

The handle is very nice in my opinion especially thanks to its radius of 14 "and access to acute very very good thanks to the double cutaway very well drawn! Overall ergonomics are not the most agréble however, nothing to do with comfort and balance of a stratocaster for example, there is one more in the spirit Gibson Les Paul. side weight, with 3K7 it remains fun to play standing up. balance of the guitar resting on the thigh sitting game can be confusing to some but it's still very manageable and agréble to play.

SOUNDS

Its side, it gives me exactly what I was looking, the sound of old vintage Les Paul for 50 years ... you know the sound of the guitar Peter Green on albulms where it appears but also the hands of Gary Moore. If the quality and the characteristics of violin playing its part must recognize that SH55 Seth Lover that were installed on the guitar are as much the result. I wonder if I will not return the microphone to handle sound out of phase typical of the guitar in Sitee reference! ^ ^
Dynamics is to go and all reacted very well to the touch as the settings of knobs volume and tone. I use it on an amp of mind Marshall Plexi 18W but with master volume and I get easily searched to see what sounds it! The sustain is a reflection of what can be expected of such a grain as the violin and the general development of EVERY notes on the fretboard is very omogène. The neck pickup boosted with an overdrive is typical of his "Still Got The Blues" and "Parisienne Walkways" and the bridge pickup sounds perfectly snarling blues-rock to go make the trip next to the Hard-Rock-Old School.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for three days it may seem to be an opinion but after more than twenty years experience as a guitarist with nearly fifteen as a professional I know now recognize a good guitar in a few minutes of games. I of course had the opportunity to play and even to own, and I have, many models before buying this Hamer. What I like most about this guitar is its ability to develop all characteristic second sound of a Les Paul in the traditional sense while offering a level of comfort, particularly on the handle and the access to acute, rather than found on instruments of mind "Super-Strat".
The value for money in my opinion is totally bluffing so I do not regret my choice!
