« beautiful guitar - high quality »
Published on 11/05/11 at 14:12Made in Japan
24 frets - Ibanez Wizard neck with a very flat radius (400 mm)
Humbuckers IBZ CCR1 and CCR2 reference
Fixed bridge, very nice quality.
1 volume and 1 tone adjustment, very progressive, perfect
Finishing really impeccable. Supplied with good quality hard case
Factory setting almost perfect.
Remarkable finish
UTILIZATION
Handle very pleasant, not at all sticky mat varnish as thin
Access to easy high notes, 24 frets
Jumbo frets and low action, agreements pass more easily.
Channel end, almost flat radius (almost like a skyscraper acoutique)
Correct weight, heavier than a regular strata, less than an LP.
General shape of the guitar very comfortable
SOUNDS
I use a little combo lampp (LANEY VC15) and an extension cabinet with a HP ElectroVoice EVM12L (really an extra HP).
The sound caractériqtiques:
- Output level high enough, a lot of dynamics and attack, punchy.
- Sustain important
- In the clear: no sound flattering to vintage fashion, its fairly "neutral" present but not very sharp lens or screaming, punchy bass. This is not a "real" telecaster.
- Drive In, it grows fast but not very strong draft
- The five mic positions offer a very wide pallet of sounds.
I only play recently with this beautiful toy, have not yet found all the possibilities. I think that neutrality can be operated with a good amp.
OVERALL OPINION
Fine making remarkable. To work, really nice, I almost feel like improved my (very average though).
The overall sound is modern (no vintage), I think the potential of this guitar is very high. The vast neutrality of sound is finally a little surprising at the same time, it is difficult to find undesirable.
Very versatile guitar.
