MGR/Vwingking « Ibanez GAX 70 »
Published on 12/11/03 at 15:00I bought this guitar about two years ago. I was looking for a strong begginer guitar. I was a fan of heavy metal and knew that Ibanez was used by many of the top bands I so much loved. I bought it in a special package guitar center was having with an amp a bag and everything else you needed to start with for about 325 dollars. Actually a steal for this guitar.
The quality is great. The body style is great and the neck just feels amazing. I love just about everything on this guitar. The original humbuckers werent that bad either.Sounded great but at the time I was playing out of a little amp but out of a tube amp it really sounded great.
I hate the cord outlet at the bottom of the guitar. It constantly comes lose and breaks a lot. I had to get it changed so that it would not come apart anymore. Also the pick ups were great but still were nothing like the Seymour Duncan dime buckers I had put on this bad boy. Now its sweeter than ever.
The neck and body are just great. The neck is so smooth and the body really gives that great low tone. The only thing I seem to have a problem with is one of the knobs came lose. I got that fixed wasnt that much of a problem and the cord outlet always coming apart.
Bottom line for the price this guitar rocks. One of my favotrites. I always use it when playing with my friends and recording song. Great guitar if you are looking for a guitar to begin with. This will give you every sound your looking for at a low price. Much like its more expensive artcore brothers.
