Published on 12/14/03 at 15:00I got this guitar from musiciansfriend.com for about 200$.
Well this was my first guitar and so far i absolutely love it! The shape is great and im always getting compliments on it, and the finish hasnt scratched yet and shows no sign of it in the future. (i constantly abuse it.) The humbuckers sound incredible and are perfect for punk and hard rock. The neck is great for playing chords and lead. It almost never goes out of tune. i play a couple of hours a day and only have to tune it if i want to change it.
When i first got it, it didnt stay in tune very well but after a month or two it wont go out of tune now. The neck is a little bit wide for my likeing but is still pretty much flawless.
Its really solidly constructed. The only problems i have had with it are the neck humbucker sinking in a little bit and the bridge tone control almost broke off but that was when my friend dropped it when he was sitting down. Other then that everythings been fine.
Obviously if you have more money and are more experienced this guitars probly not for you but its by far the BEST GUITAR in its price range and even above. It looks and sounds fantastic. Definately a great guitar for someone learning or on a budget. IT DOESNT GET MUCH BETTER THEN THIS!
