Ibanez PGM500 Paul Gilbert SignaturePublished on 12/27/07 at 02:35
(This content has been automatically translated from French)
Superb Ibanez Made in Japan, Fujigen for mine, which is equivalent to the Team J. Craft today.

Channel sublime, no need to present these highways Ibanez sleeves;) 24 boxes, ease of playing ultimate model is the signature of Paul Gilbert (or at least one of the many models PGM) so it's royal)

2 humbuckers and 1 single (Humbucker From Hell, Jem Single, Paf Pro) for a 5-way switch.

For a fixed bridge sustain Barr and still more simplicity for changing strings! At least we put the rope and you're sure to not move! The mechanical golden, it's really luxury! The body is red, and is truly sublime. Unfortunately, we do not see the beautiful color that's true, the pictures difficult to see …

(Candy apple red) It shines everywhere it's crazy!

    UTILIZATION

The handle has nothing to say. Everything is perfect, has slipped on its own. Reverse the head, it can be one of the things I love most about the scratches, it really is style with the Ibanez logo dor is huge! RG shape is superb for any acute problem!

The guitar is light, that is really a gem!

This gives a really good sound with microphones, there is this sound if SPECIFICATIONS Paul Gilbert has, of course I did not after his fingers so it's hard but hey, we really feel like playing a pro!

    SOUNDS

Being a fan of ibanez guitar heroes playing with DiMarzio, this guitar suits me incredibly well!

An incredible range of sounds, nothing to say more ...

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 years now, I love the look forcment is a luxury model extremely well finished, it is found more so since he is 95 and the production is arrested today ' hui.

Yes, I had a lot of guitars in the hands but PGM is truly sublime.

With experience, I think I had the choice again, but I have several guitars so it's hard trees: d

    Ebony fretboarded model

Ibanez PGM500 Paul Gilbert SignaturePublished on 06/24/11 at 03:08
It's rare to see Ibanez guitars with ebony fretboards. This is one of the few that exist. The guitar was made for Paul Gilbert with a few differences compared to his normal model. It's a basswood body with a flamed maple top, abalone binding, white f-holes, a maple wizard neck with an ebony fretboard, 24 jumbo frets, fixed bridge, HSH configuration with a volume pot and a 5 way switch.

    UTILIZATION

This guitar is absolutely killer. Anybody who wants a hardtail Ibanez should definitely look into this. The bridge itself isn't bad, but it just sustains like crazy. The pickup selector switch and volume pot are out of the way, so you're not always hitting them like a normal Ibanez …

    UTILIZATION

This guitar is absolutely killer. Anybody who wants a hardtail Ibanez should definitely look into this. The bridge itself isn't bad, but it just sustains like crazy. The pickup selector switch and volume pot are out of the way, so you're not always hitting them like a normal Ibanez guitar. The reverse headstock adds some unique tension to the lower strings, and the ebony fretboard really feels great. The neck is super thin and flat on these, so be sure you like that kind of neck if you're looking to buy one.

    SOUNDS

The guitar sounds awesome, and it's all thanks to the DiMarzio pickups. The Tone Zone in the bridge is super fat and middy. Combine that with the flame maple top and ebony fretboard, and you have a guitar that sounds thick while still cutting through the mix. The Tone Zone in the neck is a bit too much for me, but you can get amazing legato going on with the thing since it's so powerful. The single coil also splits nicely to get that great "in between" kinda spanky tones.

    OVERALL OPINION

This is probably my second or third favorite Paul Gilbert model. I really wish Ibanez would offer more ebony fretboards on their model. If ESP can do it, why can't Ibanez? I never really understood that. These guitars are pretty expensive, and I've only seen one in my lie, so if you ever get the chance to buy one, grab it ASAP.
