guitar made in indonesia.
the bridge is EDGE3 type tremolo.
the handle is constructed neck trough, that is to say that the set continues in continuity with the sweet body.
is a handle 24 frets, jumbo. mahogany body.
there are 2 humbuckers DIMARZIO Evolution, originally made for steve vai.
for adjustments, there is only a volume knob, which is a bit light!
we have no knob tone, and must settle for a 3-position selector .. this is the flat of this beast.
A handle for a non-ibanez prestige, I think it is very nice, balanced on its entire length, powerful and stable (some construction-related neck-tru ). Certainly, the veneer of the posterior neck is not as soft to the touch than the heats of the series of prestige, but no it is not hindered by technical level of all.
this guitar is a monster in terms of weight and morphology, which is not displease me. I have not weighed, but compared to my and my js egen, there is no picture!
iceman shape is beautiful and very comfortable to play seated, so to train ..
access to acute is easy, and the beast is very accurate. the tone is steady and there is a general impression of strength that secures ..
readily obtained a good sound, given the simplicity of the config mics ..
unlike egen is versatile, STM1 is oriented metal and extreme rock. the sound is huge and DiMarzio are "vicious", delivering the raw power .. with a good distortion, you get fast sound crazy, very big and very precise at the same time, and it becomes a pure pleasure send puree.
It is true that I never use a clean sound so it's nice to play on with distortion!
So certainly we do not necessarily play the smooth-jazz (though), but the sound does not bleed, it is big without being greasy, and it; it helps develop the accuracy of any guitar solos that both for rhythmic.
course, without knob tone, you can not have bass output is the only drawback!
I use it for several months and I am satisfied to 99%.
for this price range, there's something for his money.
to a positive review, I would say that the ideal for those who love this guitar would be to keep this Ibanez model but it's made in Japan, with moving to a prestige, and add a knob tone .. there I put a 10/10.
