UTILIZATION
I am an old "stratocastérien". But there, you cross another road to excellence.
I was confused a few days the handle V is extraordinary, but not polished. The palm of your hand slips faster (no hook) on a Start. It is ripe unintentionally. But we quickly took the habit, there are brands, and is therefore irreversible.
This is a guitar made - in my view - for small and medium-sized hands (Lukather has small hands).
Access to acute (frets 18 to 22) is somewhat more difficult than my Start.
Easy guitar to play sitting, standing, straight as an "i", sprawled on the sofa, etc.. Lightweight, balanced.
SOUNDS
This guitar is really versatile, versatile. But like all the guitars, the importance of the amp and pedals is paramount. The EMG active have a big potato, they cross the racks with no problem.
Personally, I play on Egnater Rebel 30, or Bugera 333XL, Vox + disto Satchurator or AMT Du Hast, Boss DD3 delay.
This simple configuration and small enough to get a big sound.
I believe that today, no one disputes the high quality of active EMG pickups.
OVERALL OPINION
I do not touch my Stratocaster almost over ......
I still a critical issue on Luke: you can easily get out of the handle, it is narrow, and the frets chamfered a tad prematurely. I will correct when refrettage, but hey, it's not urgent. I'm just a scratch amateur.
Price aside, it's expensive, I model because the piezo is nice for sale occasion with this equipment. Without piezo, it runs in nine to about € 2100. At the same time, with only one guitar, you can do everything, so ...
However, there are models used around 1200/1300, and there should be no hesitation.
Last detail, the mechanical self-locking: I did not know, but I admit that it's wonderful. However, the view with lowering the age is not so easy to engage the upper strings in the tunnel reduced. Then the fifties and over, do not forget your glasses when changing strings ........
