Musicvox brought their so special looking guitar and bass ranges to Nashville until tonight. Among them, the Spaceranger is certainly one of the most special, with its oversized rounded headstock with a 2 + 4 tuner configuration, and its deep rounded cutaway. The guitar had already been commercialized in the 1990s and had quite a glory with the Austin Powers movie.
It is now back to stores and Musicvox is back at Summer NAMM with the instrument.
The Spaceranger guitar is equipped with two PAF-style humbucking pickups, Kluson tuners, master volume and tone knobs and a three-way pickup switch. It is available in Sunburst, White, Black, Cherry Sunburst and Gold Sparkle finishes. US price is $799.
Two limited “striped” series of the Spaceranger are also available for $899 and $999 as well as an HT Bass which retails for $899.
