Olp MM1F Axis

This is a PLO Axis MM1 or F, the PLO Axis with Floyd produced in Asia, little or sold in France for a pittance. The quality is superior to other axis of the mark PLO, as the basswood body gets a real maple top, beautiful! UTILIZATION

With a floyd and a basswood body, it's not really a guitar for the blues. And for once, I have everything I need for rock and blues! When I brought my project to my maker, I had in mind people like N'guyen Lê, Jeff Beck, Steve Lukather, Satch ... In short I wanted a guitar "shred +", although "non-shredder", capable of a sufficient dose of heat to be played directly into the amp. It perfectly meets my expectations, the evolution is really fantastic, but it lacks a little something with lace sensor (but I had noticed on other guitars).
I must say that the guitar has an absolutely stunning projection empty! It has body solo with evolution, a little less good on rhythmic rock (it's specific to that microphone) but it is quite amazing once split!

OVERALL OPINION

Mission accomplished. The basic guitar is not exceptional, outside an incredible value for money for less than 300 euros. All operations, including a new and more polish (not required) to the back of the cabinet, led me to a guitar around 1200 euros. And she is worth.
I got the expected result with the budget I had, through my experiences. With another budget, I opted for the creation of an alder body with maple veneer. For later, maybe ...

Know that the change of pickups will not change the substance of this guitar. His weak point is the handle. If you are looking to create a crossover of Luke and the axis, with a router to actually use the floyd, the investment in a handle and a few microphones worth it: it works!
