[NAMM] Reverend Guitars unveils its new models

Reverend Guitars will be at NAMM 2015 next week where they will introduce their new guitars, most of them being evolutions of existing series.

Reverend will debut in Anaheim the Descent, a 26 3/4“ scale Baritone-style double cutaway electric guitar with bolt-on neck equipped with a Wilkinson Tremolo bridge.

This model will be available in two versions: the Descent H90 received two Railhammer Gnarly 90 humbucking pickups and is available in Oceanside Green finish with maple fingerboard or Rock Orange with rosewood fingerboard. The Descent RA features Railhammer Chisels with chrome covers, and a choice of Violin Burst Flame Maple with rosewood fingerboard.

If you like single-pickup guitars, Reverend offers its Sensei with this special setup in the Sensei Jr edition, and the pickup used here is a Reverend P90 installed at the bridge position. The guitar has a bolt-on neck with rosewood fingerboard and Dot inlays, a korina body and a Bass Contour control. You can choose between two finishes: Vintage Clear or Tobacco Sunburst. Reverend says that the tone is slightly hotter than a similar vintage model and most of all, it’s quite versatile for a single-pickup instrument.

The Tricky Gomez signature semi-hollow guitar has also been improved in the 290 edition with P90 pickups. It features a korina body with solid maple top for a vintage tone, rosewood neck, Bisgby B-70 Roller bridge, Tortoise pickguard and Satin Redburst or Satin Emerald Green finishes.

The Bayonet Series also benefits from Reverend’s evolutions in 2015 with the Bayonet RA, which is equipped with a pair of Railhammer pickups to be controlled via a 3-way switch: a Hyper Vintage Humbucker has been installed at the bridge position for an open sound, with chrome cover, and a fatter Gnarly 90 sits next to the neck. The guitar features a korina body with flamed maple cap, rosewood neck and Wilkinson Tremolo bridge. This Bayonet RA90 will be available in Gloss Wine Red FM and Gloss Orange FM finishes.

Last, Reverend goes back to the origins of its popular Double Agent with the OG edition and its single-cutaway design. This new model will be available next to the Double Agent W double cutaway. It features the same Humbucker/P90 pickup combination as the W guitar, but the bridge here is a Tune-O-Matic with Stop Tail. You’ll find the Double Agent OG in a Gloss Metallic Alpin finish with rosewood fingerboard and Gloss Violin Brown Flame Maple with maple fingerboard.

No information regarding the pricing of these new models, full details will soon be online at www.reverendguitars.com.
