I went it my local shop to buy my second guitar i wanted to stay in the $300 dollar range because i was still learning the itermediate skills. Now i own four guitars a gibson V a Epiphone black beauty a Parker p 38 and a gibson les paul studio! i have come a long way in guitar After i changed the pick ups on my samick to some gibson vintage if it were just a sound test and they said one of them was 1300$ and one was 500$ ( after pick ups) they would be amazed they sound exactly a like

I like the shape pretty classic um the necks is nice the stock pick ups are nice for clean sound and light distortion ie Joe Satriani some GNR ect...The color is amazing transparent blue. When it is not plugg…

I like the shape pretty classic um the necks is nice the stock pick ups are nice for clean sound and light distortion ie Joe Satriani some GNR ect...The color is amazing transparent blue. When it is not plugged into my amp it sounds great i guess you can call it "acousticly" im not sure on the word for it but i think you know what i mean!

the neck is finshed i prefer an unfinished neck but its not big deal. The pick up selector switch isnt soddered properly on any samick so if you know how to sodder do it your self or where ever you bought the guitar they best do it for free! Dont buy this on line buy it locally because there are some minor things that have to be ajusted when you pick it up on this guitar like and Transparent finsish chips show like on glass

it is exallent nothing really wrong with it except the soddering but that can be easily fixed

Good begginer to Intermediate guitar good for a gig backup good rythm guitar ok lead it will come pared to epiphone les paul standard prolly the lowest line guitar i own but its decent

My personal Preferece is an unfinished neck as far as the paint this guitar had a blue neck. I really wish they would put a Floyd Rose or some sort of tremelo on it but thats my personal taste. The pickups were crappy i put son Ducan Distortions and rockedhis thing to no end

The construction is good build really sturdy. The bad part is the fish being a transperant blue shows ever little nick or scratch. But other than that its good. after the 12th fret, the frets stick out a little bit but its a godd calus builder

good guitar for an entry leval doesnt compare to les paul i wish i would got the flying V. IM giving this this a 4 because no tremelo the frets stick out

I Bought this Guitar From AmericanDiscountMusic.com And Paid $299 and got free shipping and gig bag.

Very Solid guitar for the money. Has the action of My Gibson Les Paul yet I can Take this guitar out To gigs and not worry about hurting my expensive LP. This is a real Work horse. Samick Guitar has came a long way sense greg b started with them. I am now looking at a Samick Acoustic Guitar and a Samick RL3 Hollowbody Les Paul Style Electric Guitar. Sense the AV3, I have re-thought my thing against import guitars. This Samick Guitar ROCKS !

Pick ups could be a little hotter, yet for $299 i can afford to upgrade them

Guitar has a Set Neck and Quilt top Les Paul Style Even Grover tuners.

I WIll buy more Samick Guitars. Now that I have one I realize that Gibson and Epiphone are just names and even found out that Samick makes a lot of Epiphone Guitars! Epiphones are good guitars, but if you were Samick and made Epiphone, would you not make your own brand of Guitar even Better than you make theirs? In My Opinion, that is what Samick Guitars are doing. The AV6 is even better than my AV3, all I can Say Is WOW ! ! !

Among The Best, If You Must Buy From China

    Samick AV3Published on 07/28/11 at 10:59
Made in China, as alluded to in the title. Basic Les Paul design, with a slightly larger body (will not fit in a LP case.) Fixed Tuneomatic type bridge, 22 frets, two humbuckers. Two volume, two tone controls.

    UTILIZATION

cutaway allows full fret access. Neck profile is nice- not too fat, not too slim. In spite of the slightly larger body, neck does tend to dive a bit, the guitar could be better balanced. This example is several years old, and original switch and pots are doing just fine- original pickups are long gone, so I can't comment on them.

    SOUNDS

This guitar sends a good signal down-line- you can play it through whatever amp you like, and you should like it…

    OVERALL OPINION

sunburst top is beautiful to look at, for either you or your audience. The weird-shaped headstock- ummm, not so much. I bought this one as a test-bed for soap bar pickups, which I had never played before. Good foundation for mods, or to be played as-is- you should not need to change tuners, pots, switches.

    2 microphones "humbuckers"
2 buttons "tone" and two buttons "volume" (one of each type for each microphone)

    UTILIZATION

Since this guitar is my first electric guitar, I am delighted.
Touch is nice, the handle is very "fast" compared to a Cort M520, for example, as I made the comparison by playing one after the other .. The handle may be a bit thick, but like any other Les Paul.
access to acute is rather easy by the shape of the guitar, 16-18th to the cargo without any problems.
The SAMICK AV-3 is the equivalent of an Epiphone Les Paul but with cheaper, however it would appear that both models come out almost the same factory xD

The sound is perfectly clean and I have no problem until today.

    SOUNDS

I play a little every style of music since I started scratching the power after 2 years of classic scratch but she properly followed in all areas so far, we might as well have it spit out the sound to play a lil or even blues arpeggios, though this requires the sweetness.
Again, this is my first electric scraper so I do not have much experience to compare to others but hey ..

    OVERALL OPINION

Les Paul in a much less expensive for all kind of music even though the style remains "Gibsonian" as "New Age", in my opinion this has scratches in the stomach and € 300 is a very good guitar.
Quick and easy touch and easy adaptation to a lot of styles of music from this guitar is from my point of view of the big advantages, as opposed to a weight a bit and therefore handle a little thick (like all Les Paul in same time .. )
