The Skate Guitar project has been developed by argentinean luthier Ezequiel Galasso and professional skateboarder and guitar collector Gianfranco de Gennaro. They worked on a way to build guitars from old skateboards and found that two boards were necessary to build a complete instrument.
The Skate Guitars use maple (14 plies) and their creators add that you can treat them bad, after all that's how the original object was designed for...
