Washburn WR150
Published on 05/05/03 at 15:00I purchased it from the music shop in Bridgnorth Shropshire. I saw it on display, played it and bought it immediately. I paid £200.
It's ability to stay in tune, even after severe abuse. It's tonality and accuracy. It's balance. It's low action when the whammy bar has been taken off and extra tension appplied to the springs. The flowing un-encumbered movement from the lower to upper register. It's progressive rock sound.
The only limits to this guitar take it beyond what is expected. It is difficult to finger pick (because of the middle pick up). It's sound quality doesn't lend itself to warm tones.

It is solid, well made, very precise, extremely functional and practical, easy to play. Very responsive. Looks great.
This guitar is at it's best when playing legato syle phrases with a never ending feel to them. It thrives on rock, metal, thrash, it looks and feels great. Ideal for a beginner, and experienced serious guitarists. I have had mine for 12 months, and after playing for over 25 years I would say it is probably the best value for money guitar I have ever had.

Published on 11/21/02 at 15:00I bought this guitar brand new on ebay for $159.00. I got the Metallic Apple color which I think is a rare color as I haven't seen any of the online music stores carrying the WR-150 in this color.
I love the color. It's the most beautiful shade of light metallic limeish color green. Looks metallic silver in bright bright lighting. I love the control knobs and pretty much the whole guitar. I like this guitar waaaaaaaay better than my last guitar which was a Jay Turser JT-300, that was a nice guitar too, but this Wasburn puts the old Jay Turser I had to shame. It's soo nice I'm almost afraid to play it for fear of getting a ding or hurting it, it's a work of art.

What I don't like? Nothing. I love everything about this guitar.
This guitar is superb in quality. Guitar looks like it's a $500.00+ guitar even though I paid $159.00. It's such good quality that I feel like a rock star with a custom made guitar. I've never had a Washburn, but I think for any of my future guitars I'll be looking to Washburn again.
This guitar is great. It's my 2nd guitar, but I still consider myself a beginner. Again I feel I got a guitar that's way worth the $159.00 I paid. I bought this guitar on a budget. But I don't think I got a "budget" guitar. I think I got a great class guitar for a super low price. There's nothing "budget" or "cheap" about this guitar. Thanks Washburn!!

Published on 10/17/02 at 15:00I bought this guitar for somewhere around $200. At first I thought it would just be a good named ,great practice guitar but it turned out to be excellent for all. I was expecting a decent guitar but it rocks good, especially for its price.
It sounds good with any amp and looks great, like I spent a whole lot more than I did. You can tell it is made with quality and it is awesome. If you do not want to spend a lot for a huge amp but still want great sound this is perfect because it carries a great sound on any amp. But it is great for any stage of a guitarist.
Nothing at all, I can honestly say it would satisfy me or anyone else.

The construction is awesome because it looks good and it is durable, I hate to say but I have put it to the test. And it is comfortable and sounds good. Washburn has made a great guitar and made it affordable.
I might have said all this over and over but this guitar is excellent in all aspects and I would recomend this for anybody at any stage of guitar, whether your a starter or you have been playing for 25 years. If you do not want to spend tons of money but still want a excellent guitar this is it. This is better than some $900 guitars I have played.

Published on 07/09/02 at 15:00I paid $300 (CAD) for this guitar at Buckley's Music in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
There isn't much I don't like about this guitar. The style, the pickups, the tremolo bridge, they are all factors. I also like the Grover tuners, they stay nicely in tune. I've been hammering on this thing for a good while now without a tuning. The sound quality is also great.
I can't say there isn't anything I don't like about it. Other than the volume seems to have a threshold, you don't seem to get any output until the volume is on 2.
The construction is great. Solid basswood body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, 2 single coil pickups and a humbucker, tremolo bridge, great Grover tuners, 5-way pickup...…

This thing is a great instrument for beginners and more advanced players alike. I've loved this thing since I've first layed eyes on it and I can guarantee that no matter how many other guitars I get in my lifetime, I'm never getting rid of this one. Kudos, Washburn!
