My Welson "Playboy", made in Italy, was purchased in Orange in 1964.
The easel is height adjustable and floating, but already too high. Manufacturing is sloppy because partion to "Yeye" who liked breaking guitatres at that time! but not me ...
Question manufacturing quality, what I saw on mine removed:
Painting of a beautiful red vermilion, is fully cracked above / below but it just me who does not have much respect humidity of storage and also, it is a semi-hollow domed against 3 ply plywood 3mm, in tension, with little internal reinforcements. Stiffness in the extension of the handle is provided by several square 20x20 pine glued together and raw logs.
handle it with its curved keys is very enjoyable to play and it is always perfect. It has not moved.
Regarding "electronics", 2 slide switches mics, 2 volume pots / "tone" and 3 resistors Ducati 125VI 100000k 20% 125 470 000 VI pf 20% and 1 (gray-orange-black-brown) ?
One could say that it looks like the amateur DIY.

Guitar made in Italy, more or less affiliated with EKO. Guitar about 1962 on the same form as black and white but only 2 microphones manufacturing EKO.
So the stick seems stuck, rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, fret 0, mechanical outdoors, they suffer, floating metal bridge (yes ...), simple tailpiece screwed on the table, no vibrato, the body is decorated accordion so of the 50s, as a eko, white and black handle past, black bakelite plate, these are keys that activate the 2 single coils with 3 possible combinations, the off position. volume and tone. So the sound is balanced, deep enough and you can do a lot of beautiful things: jazz (yes, the sound has an interesting sound on his side clear), and especially because in the blues crunch, it sends a well it's cute and formidable. OVERALL OPINION

To be used exclusively in a ballochi retro costume glitter on the good old blues to daddy or surf music, guaranteed. It changes the sounds you know by heart, those take us very naturally in retro styles.
This guitar is it seems very rare. It is said that only 10% of this time are Welson with 2 microphones, and yet, they have mostly a vibrato tailpiece.
