Bolder Sounds has announced the release of two new sample libraries for Kontakt: BOB Celtic Pipes V2 and Thumb Piano.

BOB Celtic Pipes V2 [$39.95]

The Kontakt version of the BOB Celtic Pipes has been updated to version 2 with newly added KSP scripting. The upgrade to V2 is free to existing owners. Video demos on the V2 update have been created and are available on the Bolder website.

The Celtic Pipes library includes Bagpipes (also know as Highland Pipes), Uilleann Pipes and a smaller set of pipes called Pub Pipes (sometimes called Parlor or Shuttle Pipes). The V2 KSP scripting includes independent control of the Chanter and Drones of the pipes. The Drones are presented in Latch mode allowing the user to sustain the drone with just a single key-press and release while to Chanter utilizes Trigger Solo mode for a realistic pipe emulation. Humanize controls have also been added for timing and tuning in both the solo instruments as well as a Bagpipe ensemble Multi instrument.

Thumb Piano [Free]
The range of this Thumb Piano is 2 octaves plus a major 3rd. The Thumb Piano was sampled with both plucks from the flesh of the thumb as well as the finger nail of the thumb for a brighter sound. Also each sample zone articulation has 3 round robin samples assigned to it.

Bo Clausen has contributed KSP scripting to the Kontakt version which is documented in the .pdf manual featuring arpeggiator presets and numerous other control features.

Thumb Piano is free. Sampler formats include Kontakt (3+) and EXS24. 101 MB total.
