Published on 08/12/14 at 15:01Purely acoustic guitar made in China by this brand, formerly launched by Martin, to compete with Japanese brands and their products at low prices and now revived by a German distributor.
Here in the woods:
Head / neck: Mahogany / Mahogany
Rosewood Indian / Indian Rosewood
Top: Solid Sitka Spruce / Solid Sitka Spruce
Back and Sides: Indian Rosewood / Indian Rosewood
And for the rest:
12 frets
Tuning fork for a 645mm saddle 42,8mm
Bone nuts
Grover chrome open
UTILIZATION
I find great round, fine and soft. Accustomed to nylon and electric guitars, I was looking for a folk guitar that is really easy to play and it is fun!
The sound is good even without the play (If so, I assure you, listen here). For access to acute, you can always go tease the 17th case of acute middle but it is not its core business!
It is a model of small size (about the size of a classical guitar) with this characteristic, oh despair, I thought form available from Martin. (Super Martin but out of "my" price).
So the size is perfect for barouder.
Note that I've never played any other guitar of this brand.
SOUNDS
I do everything with, even if it is perfect for folks songs "Inside Llewyn Davis". It is very typical.
I do not know if this is the Sitka spruce top but its resonance is truly intoxicating, just take it, to caress, to tap the bridge to hear (yes, I insist on it and not, I do not do drugs / over). It's really crazy.
I've played a different Taylor and "expensive" guitars in stores but I never heard that. Maybe in Martin?
The best is with the capo. Already in the second box, you feel a change in behavior, it becomes clearer and more vibrant and play Leonard Cohen with the capo on the 5th is my most touching guitar experience.
Yes I am a fan.
For its size, I find that in terms of volume, it holds very well his place among the dreadnoughts.
OVERALL OPINION
I've had about 8 months, I was looking for this shape but do not want to give my salary to Martin, so it was a revelation.
The quality / price is very good for me, again I think sitka is excellent on this guitar.
I have nothing against him, I would not have imagined such a pleasure to buy! I did not even want to put a microphone (but hey, I'll try p't'être one day
)
One last point, I do not know where that came from but as its sound, its smell is also very typical, amazing.
