«  Excellent with a Fender! »

The Mustang I (V2.0) is a transistor amp and modélisation.Il comes with 24 presets Fender, Marshall, Mesa Boogie or Orange. You can change and save 16 presets different, either directly on the amp, or via computer.
It has an 8 inch speaker and delivers 20 Watts. It includes an integrated range of basic effects: Chorus, Flanger, Delay, Reverb, Tremolo, Shifter and distortion. You can combine all the effects at the same time.

UTILIZATION

Difficult to be easier to use the amp. A gain and volume for grain, Acute and serious tone and a master volume for dosing decibels. 24 banks of presets with a single knob .... and two buttons for all effects ... In 5 minutes you understand the operation. The record is not so useful ....
It is easy to modify a predefined sound and then save it with a single button. Find happiness is quite fast.
Where the amp has a real plus is the use of software Fuse when the amp is connected via USB to a PC. We can then fully configure the sound by placing the effects as you want before the loop or préampli.Un advanced setting also allows you to adjust the noise gate accurately. A must!

SOUNDS

The Mustang I is associated with a perfect Fender (Telecaster or Stratocaster). From the first use, the sound is precise, clear, close sounds simulated, despite the small size of the speaker. The reverbs are quite bluffing .... spring band and completed with delays of different lengths ... Certainly, there is no heat lamps and we must refine the good bases to give a little more personality, but the sound is ...
With a Humbucking guitar (Les Paul), the result is less clear. The grain is more difficult to "mount". If the results are good for the Crunch blues, he began to struggle to go to a real distortion. In this case an additional effect pedal may be the solution.

OVERALL OPINION

I have this amp for a week and I have tried in many configurations, especially with the Fuse software that I could use to import amp settings found on the Internet.
The result is very good with my Stratocaster. For the home and to rehearse with a small group. It complements very well my little Marshall for Les Paul.
The price / quality ratio is unbeatable given the opportunities and quality of finish. If you want to mount after as you have to go to find the heat lamps, but immediately another price range!
