« Let me feel the vibe ... but just a little »
Published on 07/04/13 at 06:25Tremolo / vibrato "3 in 1" analog. An inlet, an outlet, a 9v power supply to Boss format and four control buttons:
- Speed (which as its name implies manages the speed of the effect).
- Intensity (which as its name indicates also manages the intensity of the effect.)
- Mode, which lets you choose between vibe (sine tremolo), and reso reso-low-high.
- Range (which manages the magnitude of the effect).
The metal casing is sturdy, the switch seems a bit light, however. The look is simple, perhaps too much, but the appearance is less cheap than other entry level pedals.
UTILIZATION
Configuration is very simple, you choose the type of effect with the Mode button and the parameter with the other three knobs.
SOUND QUALITY
Vibrato is sinusoidal, and rather light (especially if used on the front and not in the effects loop), even with Intensity and Range in background. This is a pretty vintage vibrato with a fairly wide speed range.
The two reso-vibe modes are less convincing. Lo mode is too quiet, and Hi caricature too a Rotovibe. Not uninteresting but the sound will not lose definition evil.
OVERALL OPINION
For the price, in a vintage spirit, she is friendly if not really necessary. Less discrete mode reso reso-lo and hi-end would have made more pedal to recommend warmly.
