UTILIZATION

It is not always easy and it takes a little patience to understand what we can really do with. For me it is not a reverb like the others, it allows far more than it seems, so suddenly, it is a long poke to fully appreciate its potential. The hardest for me is the huge potential not always easy to assimilate noon.
If not for the effect parameters is well done if not always accessible to the novice that I am. Parameter editing is facilitated by the large illuminated display amber is really pretty. You can choose two modes of loading effects (I do not know if you say it like that). For example you can select the effects to automatically load when changing programs or on the contrary, confirm the load manually. You can also choose whether to work with presets or with the user memories, and all that, bah and even on the first page! It is super comfortable and much more convenient than my m3000!

SOUND QUALITY

There is pretty amazing. Frankly effects are really cool and dramatic. It's been awhile since I was looking for this combination of effects. By the time this is pure science fiction so they're great. The reverbs are really nice too. Personally I love the effect-Rusty Platform on a guitar is magical!
One has the impression that the sound is dirty and not perfect, I do not know how to explain. In fact it looks like there has to be a veil voluntarily would swell reverbs to make them nice and soft, but that one should do anything to make it either way. Even tampering as a sick reverbs my m3000, I am unable to make them as detailed, broad, dense and colorful. In lexicon they really have something more! After it's either love or you do not like. I love it!

OVERALL OPINION

I have not had the chance to try many of aircraft lexicon in my life. But I've always wanted this type of reverb "cracra" and super nice. Bah then it is sure that this is not a pcm, it was not at all programming options, but this time it is much easier to understand too. I remake this choice without hesitation, even if it's frankly not easy to find one!

UTILIZATION

The configuration takes time, (many paramtres composer), but the Reward is standard! I am dernire Mk II standard with the 2.0 software. The manual is OK. MRIT of 10 since the General provisions could not be much simpler Whereas the possibility that this unit has to offer in terms of sound palette.

SOUND QUALITY

my ear, the reverbs in the LXP15-II (sr are having version 2, not the LXP-15 single) echo Much better than those of models like the MPX500.
My absolute reverb unit prfre for small studio use.
You can really hear the diffrence when you compare the sound of that machine to others, even if you have an ear mdiocre.

OVERALL OPINION

If you your on a budget (like most of us) the LXP-15 II could be the tool you need.

This is an LXP 1 (reverb) plus a lxp 5 (effects, if I remember rightly) in a same rack, on the same printed circuit unit in a high and wide to complte rack (while 1 and 5 taient half rack).
Version 2 is a amlioration.

UTILIZATION

Fairly easy to use, but as the author says of the earlier opinion, it's still better to know what you're doing especially with the various delays available.

SOUND QUALITY

Although the primary purpose of this machine was intended modest in comparison with the large machines 480, 300 and other monsters of the era, the reverbs are of efficiencies and a stunning beauty, the reverbs are really nice and above all still usable. They take us in different environments, in various dimensions. These reverbs are silky and transparent, and can wrap all sources of a true musical cloud .. The effects can be as discreet as surly, depending on the settings .. The Lexicon, you get used to ..
Compared to the previous version, the reverbs are more natural, there are fewer corners in rooms. The diffusion control Discount Lexicon, still allows to harden or soften the texture of the walls. The LFO is not a triangular wave, sine wave, but it changes a lot.
Compared to the first version, there is little by little everything was arranged, edited, refined sound are less detectable, more "subliminal". For a machine of this price is quite amazing.
To be honest, it is fairly close to a PCM 70 by not matching, however. The grain is really good better than the MX and MPX ranges which we followed a few years later ..


OVERALL OPINION

The legendary and fascinating, coloring and personal yet highly valuable and usable, in short, the Lexicon, born artistic capabilities of the designers .. A real alternative if you can not afford to offer you a PCM ..
