I ran across a program that I didn't see mentioned here called Sonic Producer and according to the video it seemed to be a really good piece of software especially for someone that is new to the producing scene.

I watched the video here at this site http://www.hiphopbeatmakingsoftware.com maybe you all can give it a look before I buy it to let me know if it is any good...

here is the sonic producer website. it looks ideal for beginners since it claims to be very easy to use...if you are familiar with reason and ableton I dont see a benefit.
