great polyphonic keyboard
Published on 11/27/11 at 23:55The Hammond R124 organ is a dual keyboard compact electronic organ. It has outputs for a speaker cabinet, as well as for a sustain pedal and organ foot pedals, among other connections. The Hammond R124 has all types of sounds, but specializes in a cheesy organ sound, rather than your traditional Hammond or pipe organs sound. The keyboard is fully polyphonic.

The configuration of the Hammond R124 is pretty easy to follow, but it does take some time to figure out what everything does because there are a lot of parameters and functions available on this organ. It is easy to get basic tones and to explore different sounds, but mastering the uses of the Hammond R124 can take a little while. I don't have a manual for this keyboard, so I can't speak to how helpful it is or not.
SOUNDS
The sound of the Hammond R124 is awesome, but it does have its specified use and isn't incredibly versatile. It is more versatile than most of the other compact organs made by R124, but still outputs a similar tone throughout the entire spectrum of the instrument. The Hammond R124 is easy to play, with the keys being quite light and pretty sensitive. Overall, a great sounding organ for what it is when you are looking for that compact organ sound.
OVERALL OPINION
I've been using the Hammond R124 compact organ for about a year and it is one of my favorite organs of this type that is out there. I'm a big Elvis Costello fan, so naturally I would be a fan of the sounds that this has. It is somewhat rare at this point, and isn't that cheap if you can find one used, but also isn't that expensive. Overall, this is an awesome keyboard that I highly recommend for those interested in a great compact organ.

I speak for tunning lamps that illuminate the keyboard and give effect extraodinaire. Suddenly, the old furniture of the most eye-catching rfractaire. But let's get the instrument.
It's a synth keyboard finally enough. Between B3 and L100. Although the capacity oil 2X61 notes provide a set IDAL. The keyboards are aligned, in contrast to L100 and M3 are such DCAL.
The pdalier is correct (I do not really use it). Low that emerge are less profondent but I got another Hammond. This absent from lamps that are replaced by transistors. Drle IDE ...

In terms of sound. Well, the 2x9 and 2 zippers zippers for pdalier gives the organ its practical and ergonomic ct infallible. It draws the pots and the sound is all its glory. As in lines Previous prcis a little cold ct is supplied by the transistors. But let us admit that the speakers that vibrate the furniture and our fingers are for us the Global Warming ... it's clear you can feel the "default" to the number of wheels 76. Those are the spices that sing the round face by a magnet.
End of the end now. The organ is fitted lments a few that give it personality ...
The rverbration. It is classic but so enjoyable. Too bad it is not light. Two types of rverb without further rglage. That good enough for me, I put most discrte.
Deuxime refinement: the Leslie. Incorporates the organ, has a space saving and in addition we have on hand since it is enough to lower the language of flin to start mcanique. What about this? and much has turned the place. It's Global Warming and the sound makes the instrument alive!
The vibrato-chorus is Submitted to the number of two (vibrato vibrato & chorus)
Percussion ... there are a collection: seven in all, with effect cymbal (a scrchhhhh the most beautiful effect).
Another point, the rhythm bote. This is the analog sound he wanted. We have the one thing that rings anne 70 bottom. Remains that the lower the feet to the rhythmic left hand and right hand solo. Well, the rhythms are simple but trs is not to replace its rle an orchestra. I have rarely seen a drummer require sound guitars on his cymbals!
In résumé is a good Hammond trs for those who can not afford a B3 (considering the price, the game worth the candle?) Or other E100 (exactly the same except bnisterie and 2-3 options in addition to the R124 I believe).
Well, it's not pretty like any other style of Hammond C3 but who cares, the sound and the price o one can find, why not?
Good music.

Used for a few weeks, I am satisfied. TRS is a good investment for a 2X61 Hammond keys and pdalier.See less00
