Godin A6

I hadnt really played for a decade or so & wanted to start playing again. I used to have a Univox les paul 70's & a Guild acoustic. Used to play thru a Vox (70's solid state I believe) 10-15 watt amp so I was and still am a semi-beginner. Not really knowing what to expect, I couldn't make up my mind on what to get. I knew though the 1st time I played the Godin a6, that my mind was made up. A very easy feel with its thin neck; lightweight; sweet acoustic sounding & easy to play. (my fingers hadn't played for years. While shopping, I let other customers play it thru any small amp on the store's floor to get an idea of whta it would sound like amplified. Again not palying for so long I didnt know what to expect. I paid aprx 650.00 with a nice Godin case. (I felt pretty special at this point.) I've used it 3-4 times a week now for a almost 1yr now. Played it thru Fender Princeton; Vox Pathfinder and of course my only remaining piece from 10 yrs ago my little Pignose. For someone getting back into playing mild rock, blues etc I highly recommend it. Its lived upto the reviews I've read over the past year. The store's name was Keeney Bros.

No problems aftr 1 year. Unsure of the details regarding construction. Materials weren't really an issue for me just getting back into playing again.

I went with my gut feelings or should I say my fingers feelings. The A6 just felt right in my hands. Since I hadnt played for so long, I didnt judge it on how it sounded amplified. Only how it sounded & felt to my semi-beginer's ears. Absolutley love it!

OVERALL OPINION

I wanted a Ginson Chet Atkins ... I had not now as ... should really try to change the Chet Godin because I t qu'agrablement more surprised by this small scratches ( 500E secondhand ... excellent quality price)
Brief comment on the strings, as Godin, use ropes lctriques above, I have done several tests and found that 10-47 ACOUSTIC Elixir S transcend this little scratch it ... resents the strongest tie.

Put simply, the A6 is an acoustic guitar for electric guitar. The handle of the LGX ultra comfortable is paired with a body with two acoustic chambers in silver maple, features a solid cedar top is perfectly symmetrical. Electric guitars will in no case disoriented by the grip and the feel of playing this instrument. As with all acoustic guitars, the vibrations of the soundboard have a significant impact on the tone of the instrument and that's why the table of the A6 is carved from a cedar of the highest quality. The A6 is equipped with the LR Ribbon Transducer BaggsMC associated with a preamp designed specifically for the A6 with volume control and equalizer frequencies, midrange and treble.

UTILIZATION

The handle is very nice, a real highway is an electric guitar neck. Access to acute is very easy and is extremely comfortable and lightweight.
In terms of sound, that the branch on a beautiful acoustic amp (AER) or directly on a rotten PA it sounds serious.

SOUNDS

It perfect for all styles. I used mainly live on Sonos in the Eq Bars I leave the console straight I remove a little low on the guitar and I add a little reverb and there is just perfect. Try doing that with a Takamine. Also as it has virtually no cash there is no attachment and no feedback.

OVERALL OPINION

Godin A6 I play on now for 8 years now this is my 2nd. They have a few frets that wear out quickly so soft after 5 to 6 years it is advisable to refreter the handle. When it happened I thought to take advantage to change, I try many other electro-acoustic and finally I buy a Godin A6 and is offered to my old friend who still uses it .
This choice I would do without hesitation.
