This is the purpose of this opinion,

I have the DM4 for 3 days and I was very frightened by buying it: it is numrque is a multi So it'll be a shit on a tube amp has high volume etc ... but what was my surprise it sounds! I would even say that it sounds really serious and c gnial tool: no latency when tps switch sound and a good range of sounds including a lot of fuzz trsrussi.

The imitation of the big muff is downright exellent, the fuzz face and the sub octave fuzz are well managed to too and I also really like the quieter sounds kind Tube drive, screamer sound and color, distos line 6 (y are 2) are cool too: OD and a big, modern distortion is going well.

A deconseiller for big metalhead, modeling of MTZ 2 is good-but not the less, the rigor has big distortion line is prettier but the metal is not the purpose of this pedal .dropoff window

The pedal simulates the sound of several pedals saturation. We rgle sound, one remains on the switch appuy wanted three seconds, and the sound remains in memory. Damage with gear so powerful that not being able to store 4 sounds, this is curbing the possibilities this live machine and makes the blow a bit costly.
The sounds are rather GPs and the pedal has despite all its small color envelope regardless of the preset.

USE

The knob is not as progressive and interactive than the analog and operate and are evolving almost by beaches, end rglages are therefore somewhat delicate, especially live use. I find a bit boring argler dm4 and the interaction with rglages not always gniale. better than the real paper.

SOUND QUALITY

Possd having a multitude of pedals, j 'affirms the experience that simuls sounds are not the same as those of the original pedals. This is not serious, it s' record, but it must be said. and in general, they are not as good.
J and I have had several analog pedal simulated by the dm4 and does not sound the same. Example, my dod 250 gray vintage has nothing to do with the sim dod250 over medium, lamp and less transparent and more compression on the dm4. we keep in mind, but it's not the same envelope.
Many of the presets quickly send gain my taste. There's nothing quite subtle doverdrive has low gain anything. many sounds for strange sounds, but not basic sounds. too many preset gain too quickly with a double micro Team guitar.

You can see that the models chosen are mythical, some like the Fuzz Face or Tone Bender in their original version can reach thousand euro occasion.

UTILIZATION

The manuals are available online and in French on the Line6 site. The operation is very simple, we choose a sound and is assigned to one of four footswitch pressing 3s above. May therefore be stored in memory 4 sounds, clear and start at will.

SOUND QUALITY

I am fortunate to have a few pedals reproduced in their original version: Fuzz Face, TS-808, Big Muff, Pro Co Rat. The result is every time very realistic and very effective. The difference is mainly in the fact that Line 6 is very quiet, it's hitting the fuzz and distortion. We are not obliged to love all available sounds and thus their original model, for my part I have never needed a Boss MT-2.
According to my taste I find the trio Fuzz Face, Big Muf, Tone Bender really good.
I also like the Chandler Tube Driver that I knew that name and which is excellent.

OVERALL OPINION

The price of the occasion should really try and take the time to make the sounds, trying from carefully the origins models, the manual Line 6 actually allows this.
I really like the great place that is granted to all such Fuzz, this is the perfect pedal to complement a pedal board without breaking the bank. I love the spirit of this machine is the good stuff.

I bought it for $200 used at Guitar Center, but was in perfect condition. I bought it because I had read good reviews on it, and needed some new sounds for my playing.

I like how there are 4 available presets, and 16 different distortion settings. It's easy to preset, and the sound and quality of this unit is amazing. I play everything from punk, to rockabilly, and this has all the sounds I need to play them.

The gold-yellow color.

This is a top quality stomp box, it's built extremely well. It's gotten kicked and hit with the vacuum, but it takes a licking and sounds like new. The sound is impeccable, and it's sturdy and loud enough to last through your gigs.

Alright, this is the best distortion pedal I've ever played and I have played a lot. This is top quality manufacturing and great sound for an even better price. With sounds modeling effects such as Tube Driver, Rat, Tube Screamer, Big Muff, Fuzz Face, etc., you can't go wrong.

I paid $250 for this pedal. I am usually opposed to buying and dislike multi-fx processers, but I knew that this one was different. I was originally going to buy a Marshall blues pedal and another Boss single effect pedal, but I fell in love with this as soon as I played it. I paid $250 for the pedal, $20 for the power supply, and $50 for the expression pedal.

I like this unit because it fit the kinds of music I played (mostly Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin and a bunch of older stuff). I like this because there is pretty much a distortion type for every band and song you can imagine. You can also adjust the levels of drive, volume, and more to each of the types. If you want a clean sound, you can still use this pedal. There is a clean sound, so you adjust the settings, and you can use the expression pedal as a volume pedal.

What I dislike is that you can't really switch the types while performing. I mean you can, and I suppose you can maneuver your foot, put it really is a pain to turn the little dial. I guess if you're not wearing shoes, it would be easier, but I just use my fingers to change it. This really can get crazy when you're playing live though.

This is a solid unit. The construction is very good. I treat my pedal with lots of care, but I suppose it could withstand a lot. I never dropped it, but I'm sure it would be fine. I've never had a problem with this. The finish is really nice (gold) and I wouldn't trade this thing in for anything. This almost looks as sharp as it plays.

I think this is a great unit. I would definately buy another if I lost this. This helps me cover basically anything I want or write cirtually whatever I want. The dials for each sound type will let you cover basically any sound. These endless amounts of sounds mean that any sound can be imitated or created. The expression pedal can be used to warp between sounds, and sometimes I even use it as a volume pedal. The power supply means I don't constantly burn through batteries; trust me, I use this A LOT.

Bottom Line- I love my pedal. Cheers to Line 6!

$225 off of Ebay. I bought this box as it purported to model a whole slew of vintage and not so vintage distortion and overdrive pedals. I also wanted the capability of having more than one distortion/gain effect available on a footpedal, and this pedal allows 3 presets to be selected with the click of a switch.

Very heavy duty, very realistic modeling of the vintage pedals (and I've had a lot of them). Easy to set-up and use, easy to program up to 3 presets on the footpedal. Wide variety of tones/settings to choose from.

The color...yucky gold-yellow.

Very heavy duty switches and case, somewhat flimsy cord from external power supply that plugs into the unit. They would have been better off with a permanent AC cord.

This is a great pedal if you want to use 3 distortion/overdrive settings available via the press of a footswitch. The large variety of tone/gain settings make it easy to select which ones you want to save to the footswitches (3 at a time). I got rid of all my other distortion pedals and kept this one. I like it a lot.

The effects are hyper ralistes; there for all gots; man blues to heavy man.
I use it with a strato Southwestern and sounds terrible. I use it also with a Cort ... Electroacoustic and again, there's good.
Effects models are trsraliste (I have also an mt-2 and by comparing the copy hardly differ in appearance from the original).

OVERALL OPINION

I was tired of not counting dpenser in Boss pedals, and with a Pod Pro that convinced me, I thought why not. I bought used 160 EUR and do not regret my choice. In fact, I sell my mt-2 and my fz-2

SOUND QUALITY

It's actually rdition of pedals that have marked the history of the guitar distortion, plus one or two surprises in line.
I use a stratos us in 2004 (with microphones rtags) it works pretty well, but the amp lamp (Marshall Master Model MK II) has the tendency beef in mga big distos mtalleux base ...
On small or saturatios crunch, nothing to say, one would easily retoutve, large distos are slightly more complex rgler but the pleasure is.
Double saturation (pr crunch prcd a Big Muff) adchire, she do not eat all of her rival frquence with VOX and until the sound is nickel ...

OVERALL OPINION

I bought used, I reget it at all.
One or two small default, the batteries will eat up great speed, (3 hours and you can change), and the power supply is specific since the 1200 mA is not an octopus that can dlivrer.
The air potentiomtres is fragile, but the air just as it is carted over 6 months and not flinch.

Finally for me as an all-tube possde no distirtions Intgr is the rve as there are any level without any complications.

SOUND QUALITY

I searched for a long time the sound of distortion that I like, I found some with a Spitfire and LAG and then I found some neat stuff with the GX-700 and now the PSA-1. and then trying to qquechose easy to carry and with its multiple (3 minimum) I came across the top and I must admit that there is no real competitor: 4 programs, 16 to 330 euros sounds DIFFERENT ...

I mainly use a model of driver tube, and a LINE6 TS808 DRIVE ... I even used my electro acoustic preamp as external, the micro amp model is transparent ...

However, a BMOL: Models Big Muff and Fuzz Face out with a level infrieur other.
A dernire thing: those who believe that AC will be ringing any gourent amp, I play what I found in the studio and nothing will replace the lamps for amplification ... With a JC120, ca not come out, but it sounds gouache, on the other hand in my best in a twin or AC30, then the!!

Last update: 5-4-2006: I just redcouvrir what a guitar sound. Not for electrical jou qques weeks, I am surprised to find the sound of the beast quite cold during a sudden beef ... I WAS in a twin branch yet, but I dcu t .. I bought a Tri dj Ac for the dynamics, but I find it really difficult to resolve. I cherchaios qque it simple, I found my happiness in a trio acahat: Supercomp - Tube Factor - Micro Amp, I rdcouvert the sound of my guitar and my belongings .. . really ... Finally, nothing beats the lamps. The DM4 ets "practice" can be quite out of his remarkable if only one is plugged into an amp trs good but will never be "thrilled". I complterai necessary.

OVERALL OPINION

Difficult to scratch who want the DNAS his pocket and want more than two sounds is THE solution.
Report indniablement excellent quality price (330 euros per machine, it makes the pedals 80 euros on average ... it takes a good 150 for the classic pedal unit)

A BMOL: it numrique: ca bouffe batteries, I bought a power supply "basic" it works very well.

I would buy can be the same, but I compare it with the sort of Ac Sansamp.

Since I bought the Tri Ac, more vibrant, more natural (puisqu'analogique the modlisation still room for improvement) but plsu chaint (sorry) has regelr. I have since changed again: Tube Factor ... the slap of his true, finally. it bothers me to say this but nothing beats the lights ... That said, I do not change the overall score, the DM ets a very good product, versatile and practical, but if you want a very good sound quality is nothing to do: tubes!!

I have a few months, the better the numbers distos available, the less is that there are only four switch but I think it will still ... Good if you can not activate two disto same time. The price is very expensive, as always with Line6. I do not regret this purchase.

UTILIZATION

SOUND QUALITY

Personally, I expected to sound less convincing from a simulator, but I very soon discovered. OVERALL OPINION

I used this pedal for a year and a half. I enjoyed power in a single pedal, have access to a wide évantail crunch or distortion of sounds (that's principel quality), the noise level rather convincing, especially since you can adjust the sound settings of each effect independently and save. flaws: too few user memories in light of all the simulated models, the sound a bit cold, the settings relatively inaccurate and unmanageable volume differences between the various simulations. So, I finally bought a Overd / analog distortion (Jekyll & Hyde of visualsound), and the difference in sound really struck me (until we have a comparison tool, it is true that we tend to overlook some aspects).

To return to the DM4, the choice of distos can be tough, but better a puzzle of this kind that end up with only one distortion pedal and having to tamper with the settings to try in vain to obtain a different sound. For those who can afford it without knowing what they want precisely the type of distortion issue, to try!

The Line 6 MM4 is an overdrive modeling pedal that contains 16 different types of overdrives that are modeled after classic pedals and sounds. It has 1/4 inch inputs and outputs as well as a 1/4 inch output for the optional expression pedal. It runs on batteries or with the optional power supply that can also power any of the pedals in this line of Line 6 effects. It is not a rackable unit as it is a stomp box.

UTILIZATION

The configuration of the Line 6 MM4 is pretty easy to understand, and is very similar to the other pedals Line 6 makes in this line like the DL4 and the FM4. All the way to the left there is a switchable knob to choose between the different types of overdrive and then there are five other knobs that control various parameters depending on which overdrive you have selected. There are also four switches that are each programmable with your own custom sounds, which comes in extremely handy for live shows. The manual for the Line 6 MM4 is extremely well laid out and if you are new to pedals like this it might be a good idea to have it around. However, it is pretty easy to use and I never had a real use for it.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality of the Line 6 MM4 isn't up to par when compared to some of the other modeling pedals that Line 6 has made in my opinion. It is pretty hard to get this many realistic sounding overdrives and distortions within the same pedal, and while there are some good sounding overdrives on this, to me a lot of them are not that usable. It is great to have so many different sounds within one unit, but I'm not a huge fan of a few of the choice on this pedal. All in all, there are some nice sounds on this pedal and it is a good choice for those looking to get their feet wet a bunch of different sounds.

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using the Line 6 MM4 for about four years and while it isn't the best overall sounding overdrive pedal I've used, it is certainly nice to have so many different types of sounds in one place. My only complaint is that I wish there were a few more realistic sounds on this unit, but overall it is solid and is a great addition to anyone's guitar rig.
