UTILIZATION
Then the utilistation is very simple: you plug and triturated the knobs to get the sound DSIR. the manual is minimalist but the sound as a matter of got, I understand that it does not be tighter. mxr qq gives examples of common rglages.
I'll just say (like other opinions) that the knobs are sensitive and we can spend time to find the sound you.
SOUND QUALITY
It is an atomic bomb, period.
I play telecaster and Flying V and the rendering is spectacular.
sound, even saturated background, clean and do not s'altre after a few chords.
on the first channel, we can go from crunchy blues to heavy metal. I often play with a lightweight drive, to boost up the harmonics on my channel saturated. legalization is the most powerful and trs attention to the output level!
the second channel, it pushes the drive and you get a great fuzz ('re better to have an amp that follows). the humbuckers are rgalent.
I use a dc brick, so no problem of buzz or noise.
edit of 18/12/09: to exploit even more sonic possibilities of the pedals, we can play with the volume knob on the guitar, especially a team of doubles, as the p dale saturates even with the gain in the kids. Keep in mind that this is a distortion high output not really made for a warm lightweight drive on a clear channel.
OVERALL OPINION
Purchase there is a little over a year. I do it again this choice without hsiter (but hey, it is no longer in the catalog)
most distortion pedals I have to test it before made it good, but not enough n'taient polyvantentes I got. I tried it and I cracked. if I were to give advice on distos mxr is good to try them before, as they may sound palettes diffrent trs trs and some may be types.
