Pro Tone has announced the development of a dual channel distortion pedal in collaboration with guitarist Jason Becker.
Named “Perpetual Burn” after one of Becker’s most famous records and modeled so as to match Becker’s sound from that period, this stompbox will feature a modified version of Becker’s distortion pedal sound of the time as channel 1, and an analog emulation blending simulations of the sounds of his favorite amps as channel 2.
Although this project is still at a very early prototyping stage, we already know that the definitive artwork should be provided by Jason’s own father, Gary Becker.
Although the pedal can already be pre-ordered, no release date or price is available as of yet.
