Disto-boost pedal.

A jack,
output jack,
one standard 9V power supply.

2 switch: on / off and boost / distortion.
3 LEDs to indicate it, boost, distortion.

analog without lamp.
heavy metal and solid. it clearly look indestructible.

for batteries must be opened with a screwdriver. Therefore not very practical.

UTILIZATION

easy on / off button (well, IN) is used to trigger the effect.
the other switch is used to select the mode distortion or boost.

in boost we selected the gain to be boosted.
In distortion, we choose the gain of the distortion, the overall volume and equalization.

fault: the gain is the same for both modes. So either you make compromises, or you can use one of two modes.

SOUND QUALITY

Used a few years with a LTD F-50, a JCM800 (4210 combo 50W), with various effects.

the boost, well it boost! its a very clean, it increases the volume.
a crunch, it increases a little, and it can therefore saturate.
and a distortion is imperceptible.

Mode distortion, I used it mainly distortion metal trash.
it did its job, a distortion rather cold and dry, and plenty of gain.

on the other hand, not a lot of bass (but it was probably the combo). And a more pleasing than a metal zone (less honeycomb, less compressed).


I've used a few times on other amps, troubleshoot, in fact it is much more versatile than I thought.
Sound are all quite natural (not too compressed or synthetic). on the other hand, a little cold.

OVERALL OPINION

I put a little notice, since there are none.
I have not used in a domain, very little worn the boost, or crunches.

I quit my rock band metal, so I'm more used.
