Disto + "More" which comes boosting the channel depending on the gain level set. The pedal is metal, beautiful red color. Robust, it inspires quality, knobs, switches. In standard 9v power supply. Presence of a mini switch "pad".

UTILIZATION

Very simple, you look at the manual right away. Everything is very intuitive. The knobs look impeccable, neither too soft nor too stiff, very smooth and quiet switches when switching, no crack, whatever the setting, moving from one to another. The

SOUND QUALITY

Satchurator is rather transparent ... at the start! It does not color the sound. on the other hand, with the gain goes up, we're moving more and more towards his typed in March .... It works for the SRV, Hendrix, Guns. She is beautiful and good "signature" Satch: I found myself back riffs worship (there are rather the sound of the album "Crystal Planet").
The knob Tone is used on the first half, staying pretty late. But after the half, we will instead hear a DS1, but at least usable (the sound of the 1st albums satch with "crushing days").
The "More": it acts differently depending on the level of earnings. With the gain to zero, the "More" will be the gain to 3 / 4. After that, the "More" will boost the volume above and a little more body.
The mini switch "pad" seems a little blur the attack, especially if you put a wah before ... It is not super obvious.
Finally, Volume, and although it serves only to adjust the output level, no action on the grain or gain ...


OVERALL OPINION

I use it for several months, I had been able to compare with other distos the same price range, and I have not hesitated to quality and sounds fab. For cons, the signature is not misused, we will be happy if you like Satriani, typed or saturation. In any case the quality is really there, and saw the bargain price, I think that is an excellent choice. For once I have not had the feeling of paying only "signature". I would do this choice, yes, but beware, not for the versatility of saturation.

This is an analog distortion I think, equipped with a boost. Alim 9v battery or standard. Fairly light and very well finished.

UTILIZATION

Configuration very simple: a volume, saturation and tone.
A switch pad that should mitigate his sometimes aggressive attacks of the strings.
Finally, two switches, one on and one more. The effect is put on and more boost.

SOUND QUALITY

This pedal is a distortion pedal but not a pedal or overdrive crunch. The saturation rate is therefore faster.
Contrary to what I read it I find no lack of saturation is much it can play metal records. on the other hand should moderate acute because they are very aggressive fast!
The controls are very precise and really influence the sound except the pad function. Personally I can not see the difference.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6 months, I've had a lot of distortion pedals and I find it interesting. It sounds good, not transistor (depending on the amp of course). It is also well finished and seems well assembled.
For the price I would do so this election is all convincing.

The Vox Satchurator is a distortion pedal that was designed together by Vox and guitarist Joe Satriani. The pedal is made up of analog components, with 1/4" connections for input and output. It requires power from either a nine volt battery or power supply, and isn't going to be rackable as it's a foot pedal.

UTILIZATION

It's not hard at all to use the Vox Satchurator, as the parameters are ones that you'll find on virtually every distortion pedal. There are a few added features, but nothing that isn't more or less self explanatory. The pedal has three knobs for gain, tone, and volume, as well as two buttons for engaging the distortion and another labeled 'more' for adding, you guessed it, more volume to your sound. The pedal also has a pad switch for helping to compensate level wise to match pedals put in front of the chain. I haven't had a need to look at the manual for this pedal, so I can't speak to it's worth.

SOUND QUALITY

The Vox Satchurator is a pretty powerful pedal as it's got a huge sound. You can get a nice array of tones with this pedal, all of which are quite thick and huge sounding. Of course they say that the pedal is supposed to give you a sound like Joe Satriani's, but realistically, that's not possible unless you're Satriani himself. Having said this, I can certainly see the resemblance between this pedal and Joe's sound, as it's a very rich distortion with a nice amount of low end presence, much like Satriani's signature sound...

OVERALL OPINION

The Vox Satchurator is definitely a pedal worth knowing about and trying, whether you're a Joe Satriani fan or not. Certainly fans of Satriani will take a liking to this pedal more than others, but it's a great overall pedal that can be useful regardless of your personal opinion on Joe Satriani. It's probably a bit overpriced, but still not too bad considering the great sound. Definitely a must try for Satriani fans and beyond!
