Turbosound has introduced a new range of TCS Series sound contracting products at the 2009 NAMM show in Anaheim.
The products include a large-format double 18" subwoofer and two single 15" arrayable subs, through 12" and 15" active/passive two-ways to an ultra-compact 6.5" passive model, Turbosound has also developed a three-way switchable bi-amp / tri-amp loudspeaker.
New TCS series options include IP54 weather-resistance and custom colors beyond the standard black or white textured paint. In addition, the 12" and 15" based products can be ordered with a choice of factory-supplied horn dispersion patterns: 90°h x 60°v, 60°h x 40°v, and 90°h x 40°v. The high frequency horns are rotatable to further increase their application to many types of fixed installation.
The lightweight Class D amplifiers feature 96kHz DSP, together with fault logging designed to ensure consistent and reliable operation.
Two-way and three-way mid/high TCS cabinets in the range feature a double-trapezoidal shape designed to result in tighter, neater-looking flown clusters, including two single 15" bass cabinets configured to fly tidily and conveniently with either 12" or 15" based mid/highs.
