The Nomad Factory Blue Tubes Dynamics Pack is a plug-in bundle consisting of six dynamic processing plug-ins. Included in the bundle are the BT Brickwall BW-2S, BT Compressor CP-2S, BT Deesser DS-2S, BT Compressor FA770, BT Expander Gate GX622, and the BT Limiter LM-2S plug-ins. The bundle only costs $200 US dollars for the full bundle, and I believe you can buy all of the plug-ins individually in it for $89 US dollars, so it's definitely worth it to check out the full bundle. You can buy it directly from Nomad's site and it's available for virtually all DAWs and for PC and Mac operating systems. Specifically, it comes in VST, RTAS, AudioUnit plug-in formats and you authorize it using a code rather than an iLok, which is nice if you don't have an iLok already. The plug-ins share similar looking interfaces and they're all pretty easy to use, with varying degrees of course. I haven't seen a manual for the bundle nor any of the individual plug-ins...
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
I don't own the Nomad Factory Blue Tubes Dynamics Pack at home, but use it frequently at the studio where I work. We have a bunch of studios on site, with all of them being Pro Tools HD based. Our main room has a Mac Pro computer with 10 GB of RAM and dual 2.66 Ghz Intel Xeon processors. It's more than enough to run RTAS versions of these plug-ins, as we never have any problems at all running plug-in. I don't know how well it would run on LE type systems, but as long as you have a system that can comfortably run your current plug-ins, I wouldn't think you'd have any problems.
OVERALL OPINION
The Nomad Factory Blue Tubes Dynamics Pack is one of the best ways to get a plethora of dynamic processing plug-ins at a very cheap price. It's only $200 US dollars and you're getting six plug-ins of a high quality and of a good variety. There's two different limiters, two different compressors, a gate/expander, and a deesser, so you're definitely getting a nice variety of different plug-ins here. It's the perfect starter pack for those just building up a plug-in collection, as it's super cheap and is borderline professional in terms of sound quality. If you're thinking about buying one of these plug-ins individually, I'd highly encourage you to go with the whole bundle as it's really a great deal of savings and is some of the best bang for your buck I've found in a plug-in bundle.
