Crudebyte, an iOS apps developer, has launched today JACK, a free app that allows users to connect audio and MIDI between iOS apps.
Available on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad with iOS 5 and above, JACK connects multiple audio and MIDI iOS apps together and can also connect apps to external devices.
You can manage the sync between sequencers, DAWs, share data between the apps, and more.
iOS app developers will need to implement JACK into their apps, an SDK is available on Crudebyte website for them.
JACK is a free app that can be downloaded from the AppStore, but you’ll have to wait that third-party apps are made compatible.
Crudebyte also developed JACK on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux with the same functionality. Have a look at www.crudebyte.com/jack-ios/ and www.jackosx.com.
