Apollo, Vir2’s new sound library for Kontakt, is fully dedicated to cinematic guitars.

The new Vir2 Apollo collection features more than 24 GB of sound content, with acoustic and electric basses and guitars, classic guitars, mandolin, banjo and sitar. All the instruments were multi-sampled with up to 3 velocity layers and 5 round robins, and played in different ways (strums, harmonics, single notes…).

Along with these « raw » sounds, Apollo includes a selection of effects and textures that can be controlled from Kontakt, including 13+ GB of swells with speed and LFO control and a choice of chords/notes, 70 pads from which you’ll be able to create up to 2415 variations by triggering two pads simultaneously and controlling the ADSR and LFO ; 77 custom pad groups that can reversed, mixed and blended to create ambiences, a great option for sound design. Last, a Phrase Builder is included with 26 collections and short notes.

Apollo will require the full version of Kontakt 5. Some online retailers are now accepting pre-orders for 375 € / about $480. Full info soon at www.vir2.com.
