All user reviews for the Reason Studios ReBirth RB-338 2.x

ReBirth 338 can be used in all Windows platforms as well as for Mac computers. ReBirth claims that it is a mash up of Roland TB 303 and of the TR 808 all in the ReBirth 338 2. Each one of those devices has its own separate pattern picker and it will able you to switch between different sequences fast. The manual was needed for me at first and it was very helpful with getting me started, the only problems I was having was just understand where everything was. The layout and interface of ReBirth 338 was very different to me, there was a small learning curve.


SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

The software runs great, and at a high performance. It is very stable and I have experienced zero crashes or any problems for that matter. I have been using it since 2008 and still use it today. I only use this in Cubase though, I have yet to use it in a different software. There is no particular reason why I only use it in Cubase, that is just my personal preference. Also for some reason Cubase works with external plug ins better than Fl Studio and Ableton to me.


OVERALL OPINION

There are a lot of knobs on the interface of ReBirth which I end up using midi and syncing them up with my knobs on my m Audio or Behringer did controller keyboard. This allows me to access all those knobs and sliders right on my hardware device and I have all of them memorized so I wont have to worry about finding what I need. That has been really good for me. The ReBirth 338 brings the TB 303 , TR 808 and the TR 909 to the digital world and more advanced. ReBirth has figured out how to get the sounds out of those machines and clean them up for the digital world. Its like having all those vintage pieces of gear on your computer and at your finger tips.

Problem-free installation.
-All problem in rewire with cubase are oversights. With adquate perfect Reason.
In my opinion, trs good school for beginners in the Fast Fashion electro.
Manuel: no need.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Can resource-intensive, it worked on a dja P200mmx (or the glorious era it was 16 or 32 meg of RAM and a 2MB video card!)
-We have several modules to vary the sound.
However, MIDI control limit which does not control all the pots.
Rather acid-east, the sound rings "touffquot;, no phaser and flange, but the cable Reason and / or Cubase, you can rework the sound to get a good sound (I put 7 for this reason). Everything is stable nickel-cr mo but remains the big bp 44Khz 16bit MAX gche all.

"It is the software of choice vintage.
-For the nostalgic who want to squeeze a little touch in their prod TB303 is IDAL.
-Not enough my son loved.

Installation very simple. you just leave the CD in the drive at least the first launch.

any inconsistency found

configuration very simple: you choose the sound card and, if we have one, the MIDI interface. after the button configuration is not really complicated. Briefly, the grip is extremely fast.

Today I have a machine powerful enough but when I started using it already running smoothly on an AMD K6 233 with 64MB.

this program exists and is not updated for so long that today everyone has a PC powerful enough to run it.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for more than 10 years (already!!) And what I like most about him is his simplicity, speed with which one can get good sounds, mods that can change the sets of drums (and also the GUI). what I like least is well ... ben nothing ... or else can be the lack of scalability, but as it is more developed you can not blame the editor for that. He might have been more or less replaced by Storm or Reason, I still love it as much, especially since it can synchronize with Reason or cubase thanks to ReWire. I did a lot of deal with that, even without a MIDI keyboard!
the price / quality ratio is unusual because it is free.
if I discovered today, I think I would also conquered 10 years ago!
