A stompbox that's hard to get, but which suits my expectations.
Published on 04/19/17 at 16:31I use a Fender Super Sonic 22. The King Of Tone has joined my pedalboard to complete it in the disto / od / boost section.
I use it with all my electric guitars – Strat, Tele, Les Paul, SG, ES335.
The stompbox is supplied by an external supply – so no battery. It is very stable and sturdy. The quality of the knobs ans switch is good.
The pedal features three settings par "side". Actually the King Of Tone is a double pedal. Since I didn’t take the optional boost, the first is a light overdrive, but I took the 3-position switch option which makes it a bit fiercer.
The other “side” is a distortion. The settings are very efficient, especially the tone.

I bought it after testing it, and I’m happy with the result. It perfectly complements my Diamond Blaze and allows me to have complementary saturation levels. At lower settings, the first “side” allows to make the amp crunch even at low volume, ans since the Super Sonic takes effect pedals really well I’m more than happy. I can only recommend this pedal, but it takes time to get one (if you want it new): at least one year on a waiting list.
