Value For Money : Excellent
• pedal overdrive / distortion with COSM modeling including 22 models of pedal and 6 devastating new sounds
• Model overdrive / distortion and modern classics like the pedals BOSS OD-1 and MT-2, plus many other vintage pedals and "house"
• The Attack knob adjusts the shape of the saturation response to the dynamics of your playing
• Heavy Octave parameter transposes an octave below notes played on (and below) the fourth fret of the 4th string - great for making big riffs playing a single note!
• 4 user memories for saving your settings
• Line output with Amp Simulator; also works as headphone output
• Input Amp Control to switch the channels of an amplifier from the pedal OD-20

UTILIZATION

Use intuitive rather at the beginning we try some brands then after an hour or two you can easily find all the sounds you want. Really good Swiss Army knife or the side of dozens of overdrive, crunch sound and distortion are combined in a single pedal.
My only negative is the use of memory and patches that might have been a little more thought (the beginning is a bit annoying to go from one sound to another, but hey, time or skills are strong ca beast is no longer a problem).
We can control the channels of an amplifier from the OD-20.

SOUND QUALITY

Overall excellent sound after cetain have your preference but it's still a matter of taste and style practiced. The fuzz (especially the big muff) are your success stories, the type overdrive tube screamer is a real treat (hello Stevie Ray Vaughan) and thanks to the many adjustments you can really fine tune the sound. Among the distortions, there is food and drink, some totally excellent (the list goes on ...) others seem a bit unnecessary. Finally, there are so many different sounds in this thing that I do not see how we could not find happiness.
The octave is built super effective, it goes well with all the sounds. I recommend it for large ultra heavy metal sounds and powerful, or to simulate a bass. Also the setting of attack is handy (I wonder why we do not find this type of setting most of the stuff).

OVERALL OPINION

I use the Boss OD-20 for almost 2 years and I could not do without. It replaces a bunch of other pedals (overdrive, distos, octaver etc. ...). The OD-20 is overall a great success, it allows you to easily get all kinds of sounds that may be needed as long as they give a minimum of time to master. I have had many pedals before it and that's frankly the best value for money I had in my hands.
Paid 229 euros is not expensive in terms of sound quality and fiablité of the beast. In short, I would do this choice a thousand times.
