Boss OS-2 OverDrive/Distortion

Value For Money : Excellent
Pedal overdrive / distortion.

1 input jack, an output jack, an input adapter.

5 knobs:

- Level (volume)
- Tone (...)
- Drive (gain)
- Color (dosage overdrive / distortion)

UTILIZATION

Simple operation, there are the sounds very quickly.
Not need a PhD in effects pedals ...

Manuel succinct and more than enough.

SOUND QUALITY

The sounds are excellent.

I use it with an Ibanez SZ520QM.
Amp side I have a Roland Cube-30 (but I will change soon).
I also add a Cry-Baby.

In fact this pedal is the combination of two pedals Boss Overdrive OD-1 and DS-1 distortion.
The overdrive is hot, filthy hair, enough vintage.
The distortion is colder (normal for a distortion ...) and can range, depending on the settings of his nag / punk to something more clean, round, metallic style Satriani (Satch also uses a DS- 1).

Short of his palette is very wide for a pedal this price.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a few months (I have in mind the date).

The Color knob brings a real plus and not a gadget since the sounds are still a very good quality.

Strong side is the Boss so no worries (the guarantee is 5 years I think).

Quality / price ratio excellent (bought new € 70).

After some may prefer to have two separate pedals overdrive and distortion but for the price we must admit that the Boss OS-2 is more than adequate.
