1. FEATURES

What are the effects or types of effects available?
What technology is used? (Analog, digital, lamp ...)
Are they editable? Via an editor Mac / PC?
What is the connection? (Audio / MIDI)
Is it a rack or rack-mount model?

Pedal true bypass, transistor and opamp taken 9v
very well made, it's serious and tough steel knobs like the Boss.

UTILIZATION

2. USE

The general configuration is it simple?
Editing sounds and effects is it easy?
The manual is clear and sufficient? ...

very simple (that's why I use more racks and other multi-effects), 4 knobs treble, bass, volume and drive, all very interractifs, mama if it sounds too without looking in the settings, no mediums, but it does not fail.
This is supposed to be a clone of the famous BB preamp.

SOUND QUALITY

3. SOUND QUALITY

The effects are they effective, responsive and realistic enough?
Which instruments do you use?
Which ones you prefer, you hate?

While there, considering the price, it far exceeds my expectations, all overderives I (had), this is probably the cheapest and the best because of its transparency and its grain. Used to boost its saturated as direct clear sound, it sounds! am, however, a difficult, having sold a lot of overdrive.

OVERALL OPINION

4. NOTICE GLOBAL

How long have you been using?
What is so special that you like most and least?
Did you try many other models before buying it?
How do you rate the quality / price?
With experience, you do again this choice? ...

Excellent pedal! bought a few months ago, I said yeah, blah, at this price BB preamp clone, we'll see ....

Looking for a BB preamp, influenced by Timmons among others, but do not want to pierce my wallet, a great deal, 100EUR cheaper but equally well made. Note that I have ever had but the BB hands, but I had among other things (I still have some) ....:

Nobels ODRS: pretty transparent, but knobs and jacks fragile (old model Korean)
Aria OD1: my first pedal, all plastic, but nice
Homebrew electronics powerscreamer: great pedal, but exchanged, preferring the Nobels
Bk Butler Blue tube: not bad, but it was a lot of lights in my pedals
Bk Butler Real Tube: ditto Blue tube and need dough
Ibanez TS: reference seems

This Caline (sold under several brand names) is an excellent deal, according to my research on the net (images and comments on the internal circuit), it is of course not quite a BB preamp, but largely inspired it is versatile (some ex overdrive channel sounded good on saturation, but means clear or vice versa, but it goes well on both), I'm often looking for some alternative brands and certainly not (too) expensive What bargain and there, hat, and damn good at the cost of self-assembly in bulk. I do not know if it is a BB, but I care. Not afraid of being bitten me, well built, nothing to envy to pedal 100 or 200EUR + expensive (I had), then you're sure not afford the brand or the guy who is sponsored.

Choice I would do without fail.

To summarize: the overdrive with fuzz and delay being almost my only effects used, I tested a lot (purchases, exchanges and resales), see that I have tested a lot, was booked convinced of the superiority of lamps in this type of product, as a fan of old pedals itouitou ...
I am sometimes disgusted by some brands that offer products for high sounding worse.
