External appearance is the AKAI, faders have me okay and the small LCD screen is configured to adjust a very good idea!
The connection is simple plug and play I have not understood why an external power supply?

Like everyone else I think the pads not very responsive, and I ordered a custom kit.
For configuration, not simple no full manual in French, that's not too shocking is practice makes perfect!
I bought eyes closed Akai did a good job I recommend MPD32 if you have big config!
